GROVER, MONICA, 92, of Homosassa, formerly of Zephyrhills, died Sunday (July 2, 2000). Born in Parisville, Mich., she came here 12 years ago from Zephyrhills. HOFMANN, HEINRICH WILHELM, 79, of Inverness, died Sunday (July 2, 2000). Born in Germany, he came here eight years ago from Arlington Heights, Ill., and was a master bricklayer. He was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Bricklayers Local 21, Chicago. He was a German Navy veteran of World War II. JONES, ROBERT J.H., 74, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday (July 4, 2000) at home. Born in Savalamar, Jamaica, he came here seven years ago from Spring Valley, N.Y. He was the owner-operator of T.N.J. Distributors, Secaucus, N.J., and a member of First United Methodist Church, Spring Hill. He was a graduate of Syracuse University, Syracuse, N.Y. BAKER, HENRY LAWRENCE, 93, of Tampa, died Tuesday (July 4, 2000) at a local nursing facility. Born in Blitchton, he came here 31 years ago from Williston. He was the founder of Overcoming Church of God in Christ of Clearwater and was a member of Brown Memorial Church of God in Christ of Tampa. BLISS, GEORGE JR., 81, of Tampa, died Wednesday (July 5, 2000) at Memorial Hospital. Born in Tunkhannock, Pa., he came here in 1945. He was a government meteorologist. He was an Army veteran of World War II, a member of American Legion Post 139 and was in the USF Alumni Association. Survivors include a son, Steven; five daughters, Charlene, Darlene, Doris Elaine, Kathryn and Marion; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. BOSANKO, KENNETH M., 92, of Tampa, died Tuesday (July 4, 2000). Born in Guthrie, Okla., he came here in 1954 from Cleveland. He was owner and operator of Bo's Ice Cream since 1954 and was a World War II Coast Guard veteran. JONES, JOHN WESLEY, 49, of Tampa, died Tuesday (July 4, 2000) at a local hospital. Born in Augusta, Ga., he came here 33 years ago from Waynesboro, Ga. LAVOIE, BERNARD D., 83, of Spring Hill, formerly of Tampa, died Tuesday (July 4, 2000) at home. Born in Fall River, Mass., he moved to Spring Hill 12 years ago from Tampa. He was a manager for Northeast Airlines and then a supervisor for Delta Air Lines, retiring with 39 years of service in the airline industry. He was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and the Massachusetts Club, Spring Hill. He was retired from the police department after 23 years of service. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and was a member of Plant City Church of Christ. DuPONT, GEORGE J., 83, of Hudson, formerly of Palm Harbor, died Monday (July 3, 2000) at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point. Born in Norwich, Conn., he moved to Palm Harbor 38 years ago from Fort Dix, N.J., and later moved to Hudson. He was a security officer for Tampa International Airport. A retired Army pilot with 28 years of service, he served in World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was a member of American Legion Post 111, Tampa, Disabled American Veterans and Retired Officers Association. He was Catholic. He was a Marine Corps veteran, the former mayor of Davison, Mich., from 1957-1961, a member of the Pi Alpha National Honor Society at the University of Michigan, past master of the Davison Lodge F & AM 236, and past worthy patron of Davison Chapter 299 Order of Eastern Star. A native of Pittsburgh, he moved to St. Petersburg 45 years ago and lived in Palm Harbor from 1984 to 1987 before moving to Holiday. He was a retired civil engineer and efficiency expert for Westinghouse, Pittsburgh. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Karen O.; two stepsons, William G. She came here in 1996 from her native Meridan, Conn., where she retired as an eighth-grade teacher in the public school system. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church and the church Woman's Guild and Mother's Circle, Largo, a volunteer for the American Red Cross and a member of the Catholic Council of Women. She and her husband, Robert, owned Stanford's Resort on Manasota Key from 1966 to 1972. She was grand marshal of Englewood's 1989 Pioneers Day Parade, was active in VFW and was a member of the Business and Professional Women's Club, both in Englewood. The Lucille B.
