BOSWELL, PATSY ANN, 62, of Orlando, formerly of Crystal River, died Wednesday (July 5, 2000) at Beverly Healthcare-Rosemont, Orlando. Born in Gainesville, she lived most of her life in Crystal River before moving to Orlando 14 years ago. She was a retired pharmacy clerk at Wal-Mart, Altamonte Springs, and a member of the Rosemont Baptist Church, Orlando. Survivors include a son, Alvin Lewis "Buddy," Orlando; a daughter, Cynthia Ann Sills, Orlando; a sister, Juanita Booth, Garland, Texas; and two grandchildren. Strickland Funeral Home, Crystal River.
GLOWACKI, MICHAEL P., 86, of Inverness, died Wednesday (July 5, 2000). Born in Chelsea, Mass., he came here 11 years ago from Marlboro, Mass., and was a retired wax maker. He was Catholic. MALOY, CATHERINE C., 78, of Sugarmill Woods, Homosassa, died Thursday (July 6, 2000) at home. Born in Pittsburgh, she came here 15 years ago from Baden, Pa. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Homosassa, the Sugarmill Woods Golf and Country Club, the Ladies Christian Business Association, and the Humane Society. HAMBLEY, JAMES WILLIAM JR. "JIM," 76, of Spring Hill, died Thursday (July 6, 2000) at home. Born in Staten Island, he came here 13 years ago from Parlin, N.J. He was Catholic. He was an Army and Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4699 Sayreville Memorial Post, Sayreville, N.J., and the Local 24 International Union of Operating Engineers. KRAWCZYN, STEVEN A., 80, of Spring Hill, formerly of New Port Richey, died Thursday (July 6, 2000) at home. Born in Pittsburgh, he came here 30 years ago from New Port Richey. He was a band leader, singer, and composer of the Music Makers Polka Band, and member of the Polish American Club, Hudson. He was Lutheran. BUCH, STANLEY, 75, of Zephyrhills and formerly of Tampa, died Wednesday (July 5, 2000) in Zephyrhills. Born in Reading, Pa., he came to the Tampa Bay area 22 years ago from Reading. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a numismatist and owner of several businesses dealing in coins and stamps. He was Protestant. Survivors include his wife, Lucinda L.; a stepson, Michael B. Baker, Baldwinsville, N.Y.; a stepdaughter, Colleen A. NEFFLEN, VERA CATHERINE "CATHY," 57, of Tampa, died Thursday (July 6, 2000) at home under the care of LifePath Hospice. Born in Metcalf, Ill., she came here 25 years ago from Baltimore. SPERO, RICHARD M., 50, of Tampa, died Friday (July 7, 2000) at St. Joseph's Hospital. Born in Long Island, N.Y., he came here 14 years ago from Long Island. He was an aerospace machinist and a member of Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife, Judy Ann, a son, Richie, and a daughter, Dawn Marie Spero, all of Tampa; his parents, Stan and Grace, both of Fort Myers; and two brothers, Charles and George, both of Tampa. STEPHENS, PASTOR DAVID L., 66, of Brooksville, formerly of Tampa, died Wednesday (July 5, 2000) at home. Born in Huntington, W.Va., he moved to Brooksville 36 years ago from Tampa. He was a pastor of New Hope Baptist Church, the former pastor of Hebron Baptist and Westside Baptist, all in Brooksville, and First Baptist Church, Masaryktown. He was former chaplain of the Brooksville Road Prison, former deputy sheriff, and announcer for Hour of Power Baptist Hour on WWJB radio since 1966. Survivors include his wife, Barbara; four sons, Michael D., Phillip W., Alan G., and Timothy A., all of Brooksville; a stepson, Ward Shughart, Atchison, Kan.; a daughter, Eva Lee Edwards, Holly Pond, Ala.; two stepdaughters, Kathleen J. WEST, ROBERT ALTON, 87, of Odessa, died Thursday (July 6, 2000) in Tampa. Born in Newbern, Tenn., he came to the Tampa area in 1955 from Dyersburg, Tenn. He was an automobile mechanic for Bill Currie Ford for 25 years. He was a member of Livingston Avenue Church of Christ. BOJARSKI, HELEN I., 76, of Port Richey, died Thursday (July 6, 2000) at North Bay Medical Center, New Port Richey. She came here 21 years ago from her native Chicago and was a homemaker. BROWN, PAUL E., 74, of Hudson, died Tuesday (July 4, 2000) at home. Born in Portland, Maine, he came here 17 years ago from Buxton, Maine. He graduated from Maine Maritime Academy and was a foreman for S.D. Warren Paper Co. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion Post 335, Port Richey. Born in Opelika, Ala., he came here 31 years ago and was a radiator mechanic in the automotive industry. He was Baptist. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, New Port Richey. DuPONT, GEORGE J., 83, of Hudson, formerly of Palm Harbor, died Monday (July 3, 2000) at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point. Born in Norwich, Conn., he came here six months ago from Palm Harbor, moving there in 1982 from Tampa. He was a retired pilot in the Army with 28 years of service and was also a security officer for the Tampa International Airport. He was Catholic. He was an Army veteran of World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War and a member of the American Legion Post 111, Tampa, the Disabled American Veterans, and the Retired Officers Association. MOORE, LEE EDISTON, 81, of Zephyrhills, formerly of St. Petersburg, died Tuesday (July 4, 2000) at East Pasco Medical Center, Zephyrhills. Born in Honeoye Falls, N.Y., he came here 12 years ago from St. Petersburg. He was a butcher for Publix Supermarket for 31 years and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Zephyrhills. SHAW, ROBERT EARL, 61, of Port Richey, died Wednesday (July 5, 2000) at Community Hospital of New Port Richey. Born in Hartford, Conn., he came here 14 years ago from Clifton, N.J. He was a communication specialist for the Pasco County School Board and a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church ELCA, New Port Richey. He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the Sea Scouts 967, Hudson, the Marine Corps League Detachment 567, Holiday, the Calusa Wood Carvers, New Port Richey, a scout master for Troop 46, and assistant commissioner West Central Council Boy Scouts of America. - JESSUP, HAROLD B., 90, of Clearwater, died Monday (July 3, 2000) at Mease Countryside Hospital, Safety Harbor. He was born in Cincinnati and came here in 1977 from Hillsboro Beach. He was retired as owner and operator of Jessup Furniture Co., Cincinnati. He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II and served with the 390th Bomber Squadron in the South Pacific. He was a 32nd-degree Mason and member of High Noon Masonic Lodge 635, Cincinnati. - STULTS, JESSE R., 80, of Clearwater, died Wednesday (July 5, 2000) at home. He was born in Detroit and came here in 1993 from Pottstown, Pa. He served in the Army for 25 years and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He retired as a first sergeant. He was Catholic. - CANNON, MURRAY W. "DINK," 81, of Largo, died Wednesday (July 5, 2000) at Sun Coast Hospital, Largo. He was born in Vanceboro, N.C., and came here in 1975 from Warwick, R.I. He served 24 years in the Navy and then worked 15 years for the U.S. Postal Service in Warwick. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. His memberships included Nathanael Green Lodge 45 F&AM, Warwick, Thomas Smith Webb Lodge 43, F&AM and Palestine Temple AAONMS, both of Cranston, R.I., Lodge Council Chapter Consistory Valley of Providence, Rhode Island, Sword of Bunker Hill Gaspee Order 99, Providence, R.I., and Star Lodge 78 F&AM, Largo. A native of Dayton, Ohio, he came here in 1945. He received a master of divinity degree in 1941 from Emory University's Candler School of Theology. He was minister from 1950 to 1953 of Trinity United Methodist Church, St. Petersburg, and was minister of other Methodist churches in Largo, Dunedin, Tampa and elsewhere. He was a Kiwanian of 33 years, receiving the George F. Hixson Fellowship in 1996. Survivors include his wife, Laura; a daughter, Carole Suellen Smith, Lake Wales; a son, the Rev. R.
