  • CACCAVALE, ANNA C., 84, of Ocala, died Friday (July 7, 2000). She was born in Fall River, Mass., and moved to Ocala from Beverly Hills. She was a Catholic.   • ESCALERA, ROSE MARIE, 87, of Valrico, formerly of Inverness, died Friday (July 7, 2000) at Beverly Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Kenosha, Wis., and was a nurses aide for the Pilgrim State Hospital, Bayshore, N.Y. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.   • McPARTLAND, JOHN JOSEPH, 65, of Royal Oaks, Inverness, died Thursday (July 6, 2000) at home. Born in New York City, he came here 16 years ago from Staten Island, N.Y., and was retired after 10 years as a driver for the Citrus County Transit System. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War, and a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Inverness, Moose Lodge 2112 and the Monday Seniors Bowlers Club. Survivors include his wife, Ann M.   • NICKLAS, ROSE MARY KOZENEK, 96, of Citrus Springs, died Monday (July 3, 2000) at Life Care Center, Lecanto. Born in Wahpeton, N.D., she came here 29 years ago from South Bend, Ind., and was retired after 71 years as a college teacher. She was a member of Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church, Citrus Springs, and the Order of the Eastern Star.   • BOGGS, THE REV. ROBERT C., 84, of Lake Wales, formerly of Largo and Dunedin, died Wednesday (July 5, 2000) at Lake Wales Medical Centers Extended Care Facility. A native of Dayton, Ohio, he came here in 1945. He received a master of divinity degree in 1941 from Emory University's Candler School of Theology. He was Tampa district superintendent from 1967 to 1973. He was minister from 1950 to 1953 of Trinity United Methodist Church, St. Petersburg and was minister from 1946 to 1950 of First United Methodist Church, Largo, and minister from 1953 to 1956 of First United Methodist Church, Dunedin, and Methodist churches elsewhere. He was a Kiwanian of 33 years, receiving the George F. Hixson Fellowship in 1996. Survivors include his wife, Laura; a daughter, Carole Suellen Smith, Lake Wales; a son, the Rev. R.   • COGAN, ALICE ELAINE, 77, of Brandon, died Friday (July 7, 2000) at Brandon Hospital. Born in Kalida, Ohio, she came here in 1947. She was a billing supervisor for National Seafood Products. She was affiliated with Brandon Bucs Booster Club and was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church. Survivors include three sons, Pete Cogan, Pinellas Park, Roger C., Phoenix, Edward J. He was a general contractor for Monaco and Diaz General Contractors for more than 50 years. He was a charter member of West Tampa Lions Club, a World War II 43rd Battalion Seabees Navy veteran and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was a renowned published poet. She was director of Florida Writing Project, English Department chairman at Robinson High School and was Methodist. Survivors include her husband, S. He was a band leader, singer, and composer of the Music Makers Polka Band, and member of the Polish American Club, Hudson. He was Lutheran.   • SPIRES, CHARLES LON "CHARLIE", 69, of New Port Richey, died Thursday (July 6, 2000) at home. Born in Wichita, Kan., he came here 13 years ago from Memphis, Tenn., and was retired after 21 years as an aircraft mechanic for Delta Air Lines. He served for 20 years with the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and VFW Chester McKay Post 7987, both of New Port Richey, VFW Golf Club, Master Mason Norman Lodge 722, Memphis, Moose Lodge 1429, Tarpon Springs, the Moose Golf Club, life member of the West Pasco Republican Club, and life member of the National Rifle Association. He was an architect and builder and worked for Goodsmith Enterprises. He was an Air Force veteran, a Lutheran and a stamp collector. Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Amelia; five sons, Jon Goodsmith, Kansas, Jack Schwirian and Robert Schwirian, both of Clearwater, and Michael Schwirian and Scott Schwirian, both of Palm Harbor; two daughters Luann Kiel, Tempe, Ariz., and Amy Engels, Tuscaloosa, Ala.; a brother, Dale, Brighton, Mich.; 16 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He worked 20 years as a machinist for Masco Corp., Fraser, Mich. He was a Protestant. He was a member of Acacia Lodge 477, Grosse Pointe, Mich., and Elks Lodge 2519, Port Huron, Mich. Survivors include two daughters, Marilyn Warnecke, New Baltimore, Mich., and Karen Drehmer, Detroit; a son, Vernon, Sterling Heights, Mich.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.     • KENWOOD, THEKLA W., 91, of Largo, died Tuesday (July 4, 2000) at Largo Medical Center. She came here in 1971 from her native Colgne, Germany. She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Survivors include four sisters, Hildegard Meyer, Helene Braun, Mathilde Schloerset and Irene Kaiser, all of Germany; and 10 nieces and nephews. International Mortuary Services, Pinellas Park.
    • RENSMEYER, EDWIN A., 87, of Largo, died Thursday (July 6, 2000) at Morton Plant Hospital, Clearwater. He was born in WaKeeney, Kan., and came here in 1982 from San Antonio, Texas. He was a certified public accountant. He was a captain in the Army during World War II and a German prisoner of war. He was a Protestant, a Mason, a Shriner and a member of the Elks. Survivors include a wife of 17 years, Dorothy; a son, Kirk, Corvallis, Ore.; two daughters, Laura Glenn, Largo, and Brenda Leslie, St. Petersburg; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.     • VAN ES, JANTHINA, 72, of Largo, died Thursday (July 6, 2000) at home under the care of Hospice of the Florida Suncoast. She was born in South Holland, Ill., and came here in 1970 from Munster, Ind. She was a member of the Seminole Assembly of God. He was one of the first chairmen of the board of trustees of Montgomery County Community College, Blue Bell, Pa., and was international treasurer of Mensa from 1970 to 1976. He was a Mason and a member of Intertel and the Triple Nine Society. He was an Army Air Forces veteran, attaining the rank of captain, and was a member of Congregation Rodeph Shalom, Philadelphia, and an avid bridge player.
