  • COTONE, MICHAEL JOSEPH, 78, of Spring Hill, died Sunday (July 9, 2000) at Oak Hill Hospital, Spring Hill. Born in Cleveland, he came here 20 years ago from North Olmsted, Ohio. He was a retired bar owner and member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10209, Spring Hill. Survivors include his wife, Dolores; two sons, Michael N., Brooksville, and Lee M., Denver; two daughters, Donna M. Rohl, Plain City, Ohio, and Lori A.   • FLETCHER, DORIS L., 85, of Plant City, died Friday (July 7, 2000) at South Florida Baptist Hospital in Plant City. Born in Alachua, she came to the Tampa area in 1930. She was a homemaker and a piano teacher. She was a member of Plant City Garden Club, the Strawberry Stichers club and Plant City Church of God, where she played piano for more than 50 years. Survivors include a son, Harold, Birmingham, Ala.; two daughters, Carolyn Gillman, Plant City, and Betty McBrayer, Atlanta; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.   • LAMB, DWIGHT A., 65, of Tampa, died Saturday (July 8, 2000) at James A. Haley VA Medical Center. Born in Morrisonville, Ill., he came here in 1981 from Belleville, Ill. He was a command control superintendent for the Air Force. He served in the Air Force for 25 years and was a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he received a Purple Heart. He was Catholic. Survivors include his wife, Phyllis, and two sons, John and Dennis, all of Tampa; a daughter, Diana Coombs, Snellville, Ga.; a brother, Joe Lamb, Urbana, Ill.; a sister, Doris Nicols, Wilmington, Ill.; and seven grandchildren. He was a Mason and a member of Universal Lodge 178 F & A M. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.   • MOLASKI, ROBERT C., 89, of Tampa, died Sunday (July 9, 2000) at University Community Hospital at Carrollwood. Born in Cleveland, he came here in 1974 from Akron, Ohio. He was a retired inspector for General Motors and a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church. Survivors include a son, George Robert, Falls Church, Va.; a daughter, Kay A.   • POUNSEL, WILLIE B., 86, of Tampa, died Thursday (July 6, 2000) at Edward White Hospital in St. Petersburg. Born in Marianna, he came here in 1986 from Clearwater. He was a retired maintenance worker at the Pent House Green in Largo and a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Clearwater, where he served on the deacon board. He worked with the Tampa Prison Crusade ministry. He was a Veterans of Foreign Wars commander at Post 6287 in Ruskin from 1992 to 1993, a Disabled American Veterans senior vice commander of South Hillsborough Chapter 110 and a member of Military Order of the Cooties Pup Tent 49. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1851, Newark, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10167, Holiday, and the Michael J. Cicero American Legion Post 173, Holiday, and a member of the AMVETS Post 16, Hudson. Born in Benton Harbor, Mich., he came to the Tampa Bay area 22 years ago from Charleston, S.C. He was a retired chief petty officer in the Navy and a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He was Protestant. She was a preschool teacher, deaf interpreter, deaf Bible teacher, and member of First Baptist Church, New Port Richey. She served on the first board of the Deaf Service Center of Pasco County and received her associate in arts degree in Early Childhood Education at the age of 68.     • LEMON, GEORGE THOMAS JR., 84, of Belleair, died Saturday (July 8, 2000) at the Alleghany Regional Hospital, Lowmoor, Va. He was born in Irongate, Va., and came to Belleair after he retired as planning and estimator for the Naval Ship Research Development Center in Virginia. He was an Army veteran of World War II.     • CARSWELL, PATRICIA U., 77, of Clearwater, died Saturday (July 8, 2000) at Morton Plant Hospital, Clearwater. She came here in 1963 from her native Asheville, N.C., and worked as a clerk for Pinellas County. She was a member and vestry member of Good Samaritan Episcopal Church, Clearwater, a past president of both the Panhellenic Society and the Episcopal Church Women of Good Samaritan, and a member of Alpha Chi Omega.     • CILLES, WILLIAM H. SR., 83, of Clearwater, died Saturday (July 8, 2000) at home. He was born in Bridgeport, Ohio, and came here in 1985 from St. Clairsville, Ohio, where he retired in 1981 after 36 years with Ohio Bell Telephone Co. He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Clearwater, and the Masonic and Elks Lodges in Wheeling, W.Va. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Rita N.; a son, William H.     • COLLINS, ELAINE B., 76, of Norman, Okla., formerly of Clearwater, died of a stroke Friday (July 7, 2000) in Norman. She was born in Clearwater and was the daughter of Annie and Harold Barnes and her great aunt is Lona Harris. She graduated from Largo High School in 1941 and was salutatorian of her class. She graduated from University of Tampa. She worked for the University of Oklahoma in the military affairs department and retired from the legal division of Housing and Urban Development, Oklahoma City. Two nephews and several close friends were killed in the 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Building in Oklahoma City. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, Norman. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Donald E.; five daughters, Donna Collins, Pensacola, Gayle Casso, Houston, Tex., and Mary Humphrey, Kathy Scott and Jill Wells, all of Norman; three sons, Keith, Irving, Texas, Noah, Eugene, Ore., and Glenn, Norman; two sisters, Dorothy Dupper, Largo, and Lois Wellhoner, Silver Springs; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.     • COSTA, PAUL JOSEPH, 73, of Clearwater, died Sunday (July 9, 2000) at Gulf Coast Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearwater. He came here in 1976 from his native New York City and was a hair stylist. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and a member of St. Cecelia Catholic Church, Clearwater. Survivors include two brothers, Joseph, Port Richey, and Frank, New York City; three sisters, Carmilla Lonetto, Clearwater, Johanna DeFilippi, New Port Richey, and Rose Lupo, Fort Lauderdale; and several nieces and nephews including Sandra Adams, Clearwater.     • WATKINS, VIOLA M., 81, of St. Petersburg, died Sunday (July 9, 2000) at Bayfront Medical Center. She was born in Tellico, Tenn., and came here in 1957 from Chattanooga, Tenn. She attended Fifth Avenue Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Donald, St. Petersburg, and Ronald, Monticello; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.     • HOBACH, DR. JOHN P. SR., 86, of South Pasadena, died Saturday (July 8, 2000) at Palm Garden of Largo. He was born in Philadelphia and came here in 1952 from Johnson City, Tenn. An ophthalmologist, he practiced here from 1952 until 1987. He was one of the first ophthalmologists in Pinellas County to perform corneal transplants, his family said. He was a graduate of Franklin & Marshall College, and the University of Pennsylvania Medical School and Graduate School. He served a residency at Wills Eye Hospital, Philadelphia. He was a life member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and St. Pete Beach Lions International Hi Noon Club. He belonged to St. Thomas' Episcopal Church, St. Petersburg. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Dorothy A.; a son, John Jr., Seminole; a daughter, Barbara H. Bowers, Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.; a brother, Dr. George B., St. Petersburg; and five grandchildren, Courtney Anne Bowers and Katherine Chase Bowers, both of Rancho Palos Verdes, and John P.
