LAST OUTING: In Colorado's 10-2 loss to lowly Texas last Friday, Hampton was rocked for 10 hits and 6 earned runs in 4 innings -- the second time in five starts the pitcher hasn't gotten past the fourth. He gave up three homers, only the second time in 206 big-league starts Hampton has allowed more than two home runs in a game.

INVERNESS -- Puppeteer Nancy Kenton will perform at 2 p.m. Friday at the Citrus County Auditorium, U.S. 41 S, Inverness.

Gyms open for kids this summer
INVERNESS -- Gymnasiums at Crystal River High School, Lecanto High School and Inverness Middle School are now open for several hours on certain days to give youngsters a safe place to gather during the summer vacation.
