FAISON, ALDRICH "AL," 46, of Midland, Texas, formerly of Crystal River, died Monday (July 31, 2000). Born in Brooksville, he moved to Midland from Crystal River 18 years ago. He attended the University of Western New Mexico, playing college football and becoming a state Golden Gloves boxing champion while in New Mexico. He was a technician for Texaco E&P, working at the Mabee Field most of his career. Survivors include his wife, Annie; his mother, Ruth D. Jenkins, Crystal River; his grandmother, Erma L. HANZLIK, CAMILLIA, 87, of Inverness, died Tuesday (Aug. 1, 2000) at Citrus Memorial Hospital, Crystal River. Born in Bethlehem, Pa., she came here seven years ago from Woodstock, Ga., and was a cook in the public school system. She was Lutheran. Survivors include a son, William, Woodstock; a daughter, Anna Chapman, Inverness; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. National Cremation Society, Brooksville.
HOWZE, DR. LONNIE L., D.V.M., 82, of Crystal River, formerly of Clearwater, died Wednesday (Aug. 2, 2000) at Seven Rivers Community Hospital, Crystal River. Born in Westville, he lived in Clearwater for approximately 20 years before moving to Crystal River in 1976. He was a doctor of veterinary medicine and practiced at the Clearwater Animal Clinic from 1953 to 1976. He was the co-founder of Mid-Way Animal Hospital, Homosassa, where he practiced until his retirement in 1982. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of First Presbyterian Church, Crystal River, and the University of Georgia Alumni Association. Survivors include his wife, Doris; two sons, L. Richard, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Timothy J., Rockledge; two sisters, Ruth Dean, Bradenton, and Inez Madill, Homosassa; and three grandchildren. Heinz Funeral Home, Inverness.
HUGHES, SARAH ELIZABETH, 77, of Crystal River, died Wednesday (Aug. 2, 2000) at Citrus Memorial Hospital, Inverness. Born in Birmingham, Ala., she came here six years ago from Houston. She was Baptist and a member of the Eastern Star. Survivors include a son, William A. Sellers Jr., Citrus Springs; three daughters, Brenda Sellers Bailey, Daytona Beach, Betty Sellers Solki, Lecanto, and Alfreda Sellers Dover, Inverness; three brothers, John W. KALISKI, THOMAS ARTHUR, 78, of Sugarmill Woods, Homosassa, died Wednesday (Aug. 2, 2000) at home. Born in Chicago, he came here 11 years ago from Winter Haven. He was founder and president of Sturdee Metal Products, Chicago, and an Army Air Corps veteran. He was a member of the Sugarmill Woods Golf and Country Club. Survivors include his wife, Mary Green Kaliski; a stepson, Lloyd Groves, Sugarmill Woods; a daughter, Deborah Kaliski, Chicago; a stepdaughter, Linda Camilli, Orlando; a brother, Ted, Burbank, Ill.; a sister, Virginia Book, Cape Coral; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. TREUBIG, ROBERT FRANCIS, 75, of Floral City, died Wednesday (Aug. 2, 2000) at home. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he came here 19 years ago from Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y. He retired as supervisor for Republic Aviation, Farmingdale, N.Y., with eight years of service. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Parish and a Navy veteran of World War II. BROWN, HARRIET RAE, 56, of Brooksville, died Wednesday (Aug. 2, 2000) at Hospice House, Brooksville. She came here four years ago from her native Albany, N.Y. She was a retired nurse's aide and a member of the Assembly of God Church, Brooksville, and the Veterans Administration Women's Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband, Edward; two sons, Roger Hayes, Brooksville, and Michael Hayes, Clifton Park, N.Y.; two daughters, Tina Whitten and Penny Price, both of Brooksville; her mother, Marcella Miller, Brooksville; and eight grandchildren. CAPPIELLO, WILLIAM B. "BILL," 67, of Spring Hill, died Wednesday (Aug. 2, 2000) at home. Born in Messena, N.Y., he came here 14 years ago from North Bellmore, N.Y., and was a former funeral director with Lieber Funeral Home, Valley Stream, N.Y. He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War and a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, the Hernando Computer Club, and the Spring Hill Lions Club. WILBURN, GLEN, 75, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday (Aug. 1, 2000) in Tampa. Born in Athens, Tenn., he came here in 1959. He was an automotive salesman. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a past commander and lifetime member of DAV Chapter 4. BARDEN, DOROTHY ANNE, 65, of Lutz, died Thursday (Aug. 3, 2000) at home under the care of LifePath Hospice. She was born here and was a lifelong resident. FUQUA, JAMES J., 84, of Tampa, died Tuesday (Aug. 1, 2000) at home. Born in Baltimore, he came here in 1956. He was an air traffic controller for Federal Aviation Administration. GOMEZ, GASTON, 80, of Tampa, died Wednesday (Aug. 2, 2000) at Palm Garden of Clearwater. Born in Cuba, he came here in 1984 from Paramus, N.J. He was a self-employed accountant and was Catholic. HARVESTER, MICHAEL RAYMOND, 48, of Tampa, died Tuesday (Aug. 1, 2000) at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was born in Tampa and remained a lifelong resident. PATTON, DON, 70, of Crystal River, formerly of Tampa, died Tuesday (Aug. 1, 2000) at Seven Rivers Community Hospital, Crystal River. Born in Helena, Ala., he moved to Crystal River 25 years ago from Tampa. He was retired from Florida Power, Crystal River plant, and was a member of the Local 925 Operating Engineers, Tampa. He was Methodist and an Air Force veteran. Survivors include his wife, Elna; a son, Tony Bliss, Crystal River; two daughters, Mary Lou Johnson, Crystal River, and Jacqueline O'Steen, Zephyrhills; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. POTTER, ROBERT H. JR. "BOB," 67, of Masaryktown, died Sunday (July 30, 2000) at home. Born in Tampa, he was a lifelong resident of the Masaryktown area and was a retired mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War and the Vietnam War and a member of the Hernando Cattlemen's Association and the National Rifle Association. Survivors include two sons, Robert H. She was a telephone operator and a member of King of Kings Lutheran Church, Port Richey. ZIMMERMAN, ALICE MARGARET, 90, of Zephyrhills, died Monday (July 31, 2000) at East Pasco Medical Center, Zephyrhills. Born in Decatur, Ill., she came here 40 years ago from Chicago and was an elementary school music teacher for the Pasco County School District. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, its women's club, the Retired Teachers Association, elected to the Gamma Chi Chapter of the Alpha Delta Kappa sorority, and held various offices in the Diocese of St. Petersburg Deanery. She was born in Jersey City, N.J., and came here in 1972 from Rutherford, N.J., where she retired as a communications supervisor after 50 years with New York Telephone Co. Survivors include three nieces, Kathleen Kolas, Clearwater, Mary Anne Klimovitch, Jackson, N.J., and Joan Legrini, Butler, N.J.; two nephews, Daniel Kieper, Clearwater, and Kent Kieper, Butler; and several great-nieces and nephews. - DORE, COLLEEN CATHERINE, 70, of Hudson, formerly of Clearwater, died Monday (July 31, 2000) at home. She was born in Lebanon, Pa., came here in 1975 from Tallahassee and moved in 1993 to Hudson. She was a retired emergency room registered nurse for Morton Plant Hospital, Clearwater, and had also worked for Hospice of Florida Suncoast, Hospice of Pasco and Hernando-Pasco Hospice. Survivors include five daughters, Renee Adomaitis, Quincy, Pamela Warner, Dallas, Colleen Adomaitis, Hudson, Patti Adomaitis-Donovan, Tampa, and Michelle Stratis, Wesley Chapel; a brother, Robert Dore; and one grandson. - TITA, SONIA K., 80, of Clearwater, died Tuesday (Aug. 1, 2000) at Clearwater Center nursing home. She was born in Butler, Pa., and came here in 1961 from Lyndora, Pa. She retired after 25 years as a sales clerk with Montgomery Ward. She was a member of St. Gregory Orthodox Church and choir and a past president of the American Legion of Lyndora. Survivors include a son, Greg D., Clearwater; two daughters, Nancy T. Collins, Largo, and Nita T.
