  • BARCO, CATHERINE LANDRUM, 82, of Floral City, died Saturday (Aug. 5, 2000) at home. A native of Citrus County, she was born in the Pleasant Grove community and was a lifetime resident. She retired from the Department of Defense as a medical secretary. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Floral City, where she was a pianist and Sunday school teacher. She also was past president of the Citrus County Rose Society and was a charter member of the Joe Nic Barco Veterans of Foreign War Post 7122 Ladies Auxiliary. Survivors include two sons, A. Keith, Floral City, and Gary M., Tallahassee; two daughters, Joanne Mishou, Floral City, and Jane Gibson, Tampa; a sister, Virgie Harris, Pine Mountain, Ga.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.   • MICCICHE, ALFONSO, 84, of Spring Hill, died Thursday (Aug. 3, 2000) at home. He was born in Philadelphia and came here six years ago from Hilltop, N.J. He was a retired automobile body repairman for the U.S. government. He attended St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church and was a member of three bowling leagues at Spring Hill Lanes. Survivors include his wife, Vincenza; two daughters, Dolores Conigliero, Spring Hill, and Frances Cicchini, Las Vegas; a brother, Salvatore, Philadelphia; two sisters, Lena Pendletone, Long Beach, Calif., and Josephine Micciche, Emeryville, Calif.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.   • SANDIFORD, HARRY E., 80, of Spring Hill, died Friday (Aug. 4, 2000) at Forest Oaks Care Center. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and came here six years ago from Sunnyvale, Calif. He was a retired accountant for Fairchild Camera & Instrument Co., Mount View, Calif. He was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.   • CHARLES, EDITH W., 90, of Tampa, died Saturday (Aug. 5, 2000) at home. Born in Jacksonville, she came here in 1947. She was a retired secretary for St. Vincent's Hospital. She was a member of Circle No. 8 and the Ladies Guild at Christ the King Catholic Church. Survivors include a sister-in law, Margaret M. Charles, Tampa; several nieces; and several nephews.   • CLEM, PAUL JOSEPH, 50, of Brandon, died Saturday (Aug. 5, 2000) at home under the care of LifePath Hospice. He was collection manager for finance industry and a member of Southside Baptist Church in Brandon. He was a member in Community Lodge No. 292 F & AM and was a World War II Navy veteran. Born in Hartwell, Ga., he moved to New Port Richey two months ago from Thonotosassa. He was the retired owner of Wilson's R.V. Rentals & Sales. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, charter and lifetime member of Hasan Shrine Temple, former member of Civitan Club, member of Valley of Albany Scottish Rite, brigadier general in the Confederate Air Force, all in Albany, Ga., and was a member of Fore Travel Motor Club, Florida Chapter. He was Methodist. She was a member of the British Clubs of Stamford and New Port Richey, a yoga instructor at Gulf Harbors Condo Association and an art instructor at Beacon Square Civic Association. He was a self-employed heat and air conditioning installer for 14 years in Clearwater. He was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church of Clearwater, Star Masonic Lodge 78, Largo, Egypt Shrine Temple, Tampa, and the James Harp Lodge, Milwaukee. Survivors include a daughter, Dolly Mae Schreiner, Oak Creek, Wis.; two sisters, Sarah Johnston of Minnesota and Ethel Riendeau of Arizona; a brother, Richard, Milwaukee; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Survivors include a son, Zachery David, Tallahassee; his parents, Loraine and Richard D. Rengert, Marion; two brothers, Timothy L., Largo, and Thomas A., Dayton, Ohio; two sisters, Teresa L. He was former chief of police in Alburtis, Pa., and a member of the Allentown Police Reserves and the Catasauqua Ambulance Corp. He was a member of Chapel on the Hill United Church of Christ, Seminole, and a former deacon and member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Whitehall, Pa.     • KIRK, EDWIN W., 90, of Palm Harbor, died Saturday (Aug. 5, 2000) at Manor Care Palm Harbor nursing home. He was born in Buffalo, N.Y., and came here in 1972 from Hammondsport, N.Y., where he retired as commissioner of the Rockland County Social Services. He graduated from State University of New York (SUNY), Buffalo. He was Episcopalian and a member of Masonic Lodge 721, Cornwall, N.Y.     • BEST, ARLENE M., 95, of Seminole, formerly of Pinellas Park, died Friday (Aug. 4, 2000) at Seminole Nursing Pavilion. She was born in Jamestown, Pa., and came to this area in 1969 from Ravenna, Ohio. She was a former teacher in the Pennsylvania school system.     • KEARNEY, EVELYN GENAWAY, 82, of Hampstead, N.H., a winter resident of Seminole, died Saturday (Aug. 5, 2000) at Holy Family Hospital, Methuen, Mass. She was born in Malone, N.Y., and became a winter resident here in 1976, coming annually from Lake Pleasant, N.Y., and later Hampstead. She worked as an office manager for New York Telephone in Utica, N.Y., and owned and operated Viclyn Homes, a construction business in New York. She was a member of the Amateur Skating Union of the United States and a national judge, and with her late husband, creator of the Skating Club of Utica. She was a member of Seminole Kiwanis Club, a past president and member of the Genetaska Club, Utica, and a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. He came to St. Petersburg in 1936 from his native Kayuka, and moved to Seminole in 1990 before returning to St. Petersburg in 1999. He worked for Florida Power Corporation and Dick Mitchell Electric. He founded Goodson Electric in 1956 and was an electrical contractor and consultant in Pinellas County. He was a graduate of St. Petersburg High School and was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving in Cherbourg, France.
