  • ADRIAN, IRENE ANN, 77, of Port Orange, formerly of Homosassa, died Friday (Aug. 4, 2000) at Daytona Health and Rehab. She was born in Columbus, Ohio, and moved to Port Orange from Homosassa. She was a retired clerical worker for the state of Ohio. She was Protestant. Survivors include two brothers, George W. Whisner, Port Orange, and Emerson Lee Whisner, Columbus.   • GIOVINAZZO, ANTHONY, 69, of Floral City, died Friday (Aug. 4, 2000). Born in Toronto, he came here 18 years ago from San Diego, Calif. He was a retired lieutenant commander for the Navy, serving in World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was Catholic and a member and past commander of the American Legion Post 820, Imperial Beach, Calif., a member of the American Legion Post 155, Crystal River, the Fleet Reserve Association 186, Hernando, and life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4252.   • MEEHAN, SONJA D., 64, of Hernando, formerly of St. Petersburg, died Monday (Aug. 7, 2000) at home. Born in Chicago, she came here 21 years ago from St. Petersburg. She retired as a cafeteria worker for the Citrus County School System and was Greek Orthodox. Survivors include her husband, Richard K.; three sons, Michael Para, Seminole, Richard, Chicago, and Joel, Hernando; two daughters, Ramona DelRio, Munster, Ind., and Marianne Whittington, Camilla, Ga.; her mother, Alie Hano, Chicago; a brother, Michael Hano, Chicago; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.   • PANKS, ROBERT EARL SR., 86, of Chassahowitzka, formerly of St. Petersburg, died Sunday (Aug. 6, 2000) at Seven Rivers Community Hospital, Crystal River. Born in Flint, Mich., he came here 34 years ago from St. Petersburg. He was the former owner of Bob's Body Shop, Homosassa, one of the first wrecker services in western Citrus County. He was an Army veteran of World War II, a survivor of Pearl Harbor and a member of the Crystal River Moose Lodge. Survivors include two sons, Robert E. I, Michigan, Robert E. III, Homosassa; four daughters, Gloria Jean Lind, Battle Creek, Mich., Mary P.   • SCHROEDER, CHARLES LESLIE "CHUCK," 83, of Inverness, died Monday (Aug. 7, 2000) at Ocala Regional Medical Center. Born in Eldred, Ill., he came here 14 years ago from Decatur, Ill., where he retired as maintenance supervisor for the Meuller Co. with 42 years of service. He was a member of First Christian Church, Inverness, and was an Army veteran of World War II.   • CASSELLA, RALPH EDWARD SR., 80, of Spring Hill, formerly of Holiday, died Saturday (Aug. 5, 2000) at home. He came to Florida 18 years ago from his native Hamden, Conn., and moved to Spring Hill 10 years ago from Holiday. He was a truck driver for a paper manufacturer and a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Spring Hill, the Teamsters Local 443, the Knights of Columbus Supreme Council 1, both of New Haven, Conn., and a fourth degree Knight of San Salvadore, New Haven.   • WILSON, Dr. ROBERT ODELL "BOB," 83, of Spring Hill, died Monday (Aug. 7, 2000) at home. Born in Zanesville, Ohio, he came here 18 years ago from Greenville, Ohio. He was a retired optometrist, having graduated from the Ohio State University College of Optometry in 1940. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Elks Lodge 1139, the F&AM Masonic Lodge 143, all in Greenville, past president of the Greenville School Board, the National Regatta Champion Rebel Class in 1955, talented painter, equestrian, organist and avid golfer.   • FAUST, MAXINE ALICE, 78, of Sun City Center, died Monday (Aug. 7, 2000) at South Bay Hospital. Born in Waterloo, Iowa, she came here in 1999 from Tucson, Ariz. She was a retired teacher for high schools in Nebraska and Arizona. After retirement, she remained active as a volunteer for the schools and her church, United Community Church. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Raymond J.; two sons, Rick H., Tucson, and G. Nick, Dallas; three daughters, Susan Alice Moberg, Riverview, SandeElizabeth Vickroy, Houston, and Debbie Ann Wright, Tucson; 15 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was a retired Kmart employee and was Baptist. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, the Moose Lodge, the American Legion and the National Association for Retired Federal Employees.     • HALL, DOROTHY, 73, of South Pasadena, died Monday (Aug. 7, 2000) at home. There are no known survivors. Abbey Parklawn Funeral Home, Palm Harbor.

    Treasure Island

    • HELINGER, RONNIE, 76, of Treasure Island, died Sunday (Aug. 6, 2000) at home. Born in Pittsburgh, she came here in 1959 from Springdale, Conn. She was a retired office manager for an advertising agency. She was a member of the Rockettes in New York City in the mid-1940s and traveled overseas as an entertainer with the USO during World War II. She was a past board member of Treasure Island Tennis and Yacht Club, past committee chairman of the Morgan Regatta and an avid member of the St. Petersburg Sailing Club. She was a volunteer for Pinellas Association for Retarded Children and attended the Cathedral of St. Jude the Apostle. Survivors include five sons, James "Jim" Jr., Seminole, Kerry and Jack, both St. Petersburg, and Charlie and Ron, both of Treasure Island; three brothers, Dr. Raymond Nolan, Fort Lauderdale, Stephen, White Plains, N.Y., and Rory, Davie; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
