  • COLEMAN, DOROTHY MAY, 93, of Homosassa, formerly of Tampa, died Friday (Aug. 10, 2001) in Hernando. Born in Riverside, Calif., she came here in 1990 from Tampa. She was a former chorus member of the Hernando Hills Hi-lites, member of the Sunshine Girls and the S&B Ladies Groups.   • HALSTEAD, JOHN, 83, of Clearwater, formerly of Temple Terrace, died Sunday (Aug. 12, 2001) at Integrated Health Services in Clearwater. Born in Elk Township, Pa., he came to the Tampa Bay area in 1999 from Wellsboro, Pa. He was a machinist for Borden Dairy Co. and a member of the Quarter Century Club of Borden Dairy Co. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving from 1937 to 1946, and he was stationed on the USS Philadelphia in Pearl Harbor during the attack on Pearl Harbor.   • INGLEY, FRANK M., 84, of Inverness, formerly of Tampa, died Sunday (Aug. 12, 2001) at Citrus Health & Rehabilitation Center in Inverness. Born in Montreal, he moved to Inverness in in 1986 from Tampa. He was a retired motor winder in the electric machinery industry and was a Canadian army veteran. He was a member of the Chorus of the Highlands Barbershoppers and attended First Assembly of God Church of Inverness. Survivors include his wife, Elsie F.     • BRINK, NORMAN GEORGE, 80, of Palm Harbor, died Friday (July 27, 2001) at Mease Countryside Hospital, Safety Harbor. He was born in Littleton, Colo., and came here recently from Edina, Minn. He graduated from Princeton University with a doctorate in chemistry in 1944. He retired in 1975 as a research chemist with Merck & Co., Rahway, N.J., where he served as director of bio-organic chemistry and director of university relations. He was a proctor fellow for Princeton University and a Merck foreign fellow to the Nobel Medical Institute, Stockholm, Sweden. He headed a team of chemists that crystallized the first vitamin B-12 in 1947 and published numerous articles on isolation, chemical structure and biochemical functions of a variety of naturally occurring compounds of biological and medicinal import. After retiring he was the chemistry liaison for graduate students at University of California, San Diego, from 1975 to 1980 in La Jolla, Calif.     • ROLLS, EARL D., 72, of St. Petersburg, died Tuesday (Aug. 14, 2001) at St. Petersburg General Hospital. He came here in 1964 from his native Waverly, N.Y. He was an Army veteran and a member of Disabled American Veterans. He retired as a truck driver. Survivors include two sons, Jeffery, St. Petersburg, and Dave, California; a daughter, Debbie Rolls, New York; and a grandson. R.     • STREETER, GRACE V., 91, of St. Petersburg, died Monday (Aug. 13, 2001) at Sunrise at North Shore. Born in Newark, N.J., she came here in 1967 from Chatham, N.J. She was a Red Cross volunteer during World War II and a homemaker. Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Eldred "Bill"; and two nephews. National Cremation Society, St. Petersburg.
    • TENAGLIA, MARIE "BABE," 89, of Troupsburg, N.Y., formerly of St. Petersburg, died Sunday (Aug. 12, 2001) at McAuley Manor in North Hornell, N.Y., after a long illness. Born in Brooklyn, she came here in 1972 and moved to Troupsburg in 1998. She worked for Saks in New York City and Swivelier in Nanuet, N.Y. She was a member of the Regis Pacis choir in Brooklyn and attended St. Anne's Church in Hornell, N.Y. Locally, she attended the Cathedral of St. Jude the Apostle. Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Aldo; two sons, James, Troupsburg, and Ronald, Fairborn, Ohio; a brother, Joseph Muriana, Staten Island, N.Y.; a sister, Alice Bertolotti, Long Island, N.Y.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.     • TUCKER, MARY ELIZABETH LEWIS, 39, of Ocala, formerly of St. Petersburg, died Thursday (Aug.9, 2001) at home. Born in Jacksonville, she came here in 1984 from Danville, Ky., and moved to Ocala in 1996. She was a graduate of Severna Park High School, Severna Park, Md., and attended Centre College in Danville and Florida State University. She was an interior decorator in Ocala. She was a member of Delta Delta Delta fraternity, Junior League of St. Petersburg and Ivy Circle of the Garden Club in Ocala. Survivors include two sons, Jackson and Brandon, and a daughter, Kristina Elizabeth Tucker, all of Ocala; her parents, Robert K. and Wendy Gardiner Lewis, Danville; a sister, Mona Lewis Boatwright, Washington, D.C.; and a brother, Robert K.     • VON SCHACHT, FRED, 90, of St. Petersburg, died Thursday (Aug. 9, 2001) at Bayfront Medical Center. He came here in 1951 from his native Milwaukee. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a professional wrestler from 1932 to 1954 and Pacific Coast heavyweight champion from 1948 to 1950. Survivors include a niece, Beverly Altinger, Palmetto; a grandniece, Cherie Loyd; and a grandnephew, Michael Altinger. National Cremation Society, St. Petersburg.
    • WILSON, LAWRENCE BERTRAM "BERT," 85, of Floral City, formerly of St. Petersburg, died Saturday (Aug. 11, 2001) at Mariner Health Care of Inverness. Born in Ridgeway, S.C., he moved to Floral City in 1974 from St. Petersburg. He retired after 25 years from the VA Medical Center at Bay Pines as an X-ray technician. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Maxine; a brother, Fletcher, Inverness; a sister, Nell Gaertner, Hendersonville, N.C.; several nieces and nephews. Chas. E.
