Dredging may end on Apalachicola
TALLAHASSEE -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers -- long criticized for disastrous manipulation of Florida's swamps and rivers -- abruptly reversed course this week, and acknowledged that a 42-year-old dredging project on North Florida's Apalachicola River should end.
