She was Catholic. Born in San Tuce, Puerto Rico, she moved to Dade City two years ago from Tampa. She was a homemaker and member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Kingston, N.Y. APLIN, HENRY R., 88, of Lutz, died Tuesday (Aug. 8, 2000) at University Community Hospital. Born in De Funiak Springs, he came here in 1931. He was a trim carpenter and was a member of Carpenter's Hall Local No. 696. He was Baptist. RINGELSPAUGH, DONALD "DON," 89, of Tampa, died Tuesday (Aug. 8, 2000). Born in Sydney, Ohio, he came here in 49 years ago. He was a well-known artist by trade in the area for 51 years. He designed the Kapok Tree Inn restaurants as well as many private homes. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, the International Brotherhood of Painters, and was Brethren. He was a store manager for 7-Eleven, New Port Richey, and a semi-pro wrestler for the past 10 years under the name "Michael Marcello" and wrestled for WCW, ICW and IPW. She was a member of St. James the Apostle Catholic Church, Port Richey, the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, and the Sons and Daughters of Erin. NORRIS, MILLARD VANCE, 95, of New Port Richey, died Tuesday (Aug. 15, 2000). Born in Benson, N.C., he came here 33 years ago from Arlington, Va. He was a dispatcher for American Oil Co. with 29 years of service and was the liaison to the Ambassador of Pakistan in 1970. He was a member and deacon of Maximo Presbyterian Church, St. Petersburg, the Masonic Lodge 11, Arlington, and member of the Grand Order of Odd Fellows. He was an Army and Coast Guard veteran. - WATSON, GEORGE M., 85, of Portland, Maine, and St. Petersburg, died Tuesday (Aug. 15, 2000) in a Portland hospital. Born in Van Buren, Maine, he divided his time between St. Petersburg and Portland. He was a regional accounting manager for Suburban Propane, retiring in 1985 after 40 years, and was an accounting manager at the South Portland Shipyard during World War II. He was a 1933 graduate of St. Dunstan University, Prince Edward Island, and a 1935 graduate of Husson College. He was a member of Woodford's Club, Portland, and was a communicant of St. Pius X Church, Portland, and Holy Cross Church, St. Petersburg. He was a former communicant of Sacred Heart Church, Portland. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Red Sox and Celtics. He played fast-pitch softball and Twilight League baseball until he was 40. - BANNISTER, WILLIAM H., 79, of Clearwater, died Wednesday (Aug. 16, 2000) at Hospice House Woodside, Pinellas Park. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and came here in 1984 from Sayville, N.Y., where he worked as a supervisor for Pepsi-Cola. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a life member of DAV Chapter, Sayville. - ELLIOTT, RAYMOND GEORGE, 90, of Clearwater, died Wednesday (Aug. 16, 2000) at Regency Oaks Nursing Center, Clearwater. He was born in Jefferson City, Mo., and came here in 1973 from St. Louis, where he was a teacher and baseball coach for 26 years at Beaumont High School. He was inducted into the Amateur Baseball Hall of Fame, the Greater St. Louis Athletic Association Hall of Fame and the Northeast Missouri University (Truman State) Sports Hall of Fame, He was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, Eastgate Masonic Lodge 355 and the Scottish Rite, all of Clearwater, and the Moolah Shrine Temple, St. Louis. - KISER, N. LaMONT "MONTY," 93, of St. Petersburg, formerly of Clearwater, died Tuesday (Aug. 15, 2000) at St. Anthony's Hospital. He was born in Shippenville, Pa., and came here in 1965 from Livingston, N.J. He lived in Clearwater from 1986-1998. He retired as director of engineering for an electron tube manufacturer. He was a Mason and a 1935 graduate of Pennsylvania State University. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Kappa Nu and Eta Tau Alpha Engineering Honor Society and the Institute of Electronic and Electrical Engineers. He came here in 1974 from his native Brooklyn, N.Y., where he retired as a police officer from the New York City Police Department. He was an Army veteran. - BURGETT, DANNY CARL, 48, of Bradenton, formerly of Seminole, died Wednesday (Aug. 16, 2000) at Manatee Memorial Hospital. He was born in Omaha, Neb., came to Seminole in 1970 from Iowa, and moved in 1992 to Bradenton. He owned and operated Westcoast Title & Abstract Co. of Sarasota and Bradenton. He was Catholic and a member of the River Club.
