Youth flag football clinic
The Bob Sierra Family YMCA, 4029 Northdale Blvd., is taking registration for its junior youth flag football clinics. The six-week clinic for youth ages 4-5 and 6-7 will be held at the Northdale Park Recreation Center from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturdays starting Sept. 29. Kids will learn the basic components of football, including scrimmage games, and will get a T-shirt and trophy. Early registration deadline is Sept. 16 and late registration is Sept. 22. WILD DOGS IN LAKE FOREST: Three cats were killed in Lake Forest early on Aug. 15, prompting neighbors to warn one another of wild dogs that are roaming the neighborhood. Neighbors suspect one of the dogs attacked a cat on Pine Glen Circle, then a cat on nearby Morning Drive. A third cat was found dead on the other side of the community.
Flatlands Park gets a wider, smoother, safer trail
With a growing number of bicyclists, joggers and skaters, the county spends $250,000 to improve the park's popular loop.

BELLAMY ELEMENTARY: Open house from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the school, 9720 Wilsky Blvd. The program will be structured in three 30-minute sessions so parents can visit several classes if needed. Session one will be from 6 to 6:20 p.m., session two will be from 6:30 to 6:50 p.m. and session three will be from 7 to 7:20 p.m. Classrooms will not open until the first scheduled session. Accident report
1. DALE MABRY HIGHWAY AT VAN DYKE ROAD, AUG. 10, 12:03 A.M.: A westbound 1997 Honda ran a stop sign and collided with a northbound 1999 Mitsubishi. The Honda driver, a 17-year-old boy, was charge with failing to obey a stop sign.
Road work
1. INTERSTATE 275, from Busch Boulevard to U.S. 41, will have periodic nighttime lane closures. Also watch for construction at Busch Boulevard and Fowler Avenue near the interstate. Work will continue until two new lanes are complete in fall 2002.
