Largo woman accused of sex with teenager
LARGO -- A Largo woman was arrested Thursday and accused of having a yearlong sexual relationship with a 14-year-old boy. Tina M. Towery, 27, of 8372 Bayou Boardwalk, was charged with having unlawful sexual activity with a minor. She was being held Friday at the Pinellas County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail. The boy is the son of an acquaintance, sheriff's officials said. The boy's mother heard rumors about a relationship between her son and Towery and confronted him. Detectives determined the two had a sexual relationship that started in July 1999, when the boy was 13, according to arrest records.

City officials intend to raise own pay
