All in a hot day's work

With high temperatures in Citrus reaching into the low 90s Wednesday afternoon, Paul Ost wipes sweat from his face while rebuilding some 1,500 stone crab traps in preparation for the season, which starts next month. The traps will be used aboard the Capt. Herb out of Homosassa. Each trap is scraped clean and restapled. Damaged slats are replaced and the floats are repainted. When he's done, Ost and a helper will build 800 new traps for the boat. Highs again today will be in the low 90s with a chance of afternoon showers.
