CITRUS REACTS TO TERRORISM: Like people throughout the nation, Citrus residents mourned and fumed as they watched news of the terrorist attacks. Some people had relatives who worked in or around the attack sites. People went to worship houses Friday in observance of President Bush's call. Other ceremonies were planned for this week.

Herbicide sprayed on Lake Rousseau through Friday
Terry Sullivan, regional biologist at the Bureau of Invasive Plant Management, announces that the Department of Environmental Protection will conduct aquatic weed control operations through Friday in Lake Rousseau using EPA approved herbicides. Water hyacinth and water lettuce will be maintained using the herbicide Reward. Boat trails will be maintained using the herbicides Aquathol Super K and Rodeo.
