CRIGGER, DONALD RAY, 64, of Lecanto, died Sunday (Sept. 17, 2000). Born in McAndrews, Ky., he came here 28 years ago from Fort Lauderdale. He was a real estate broker and a former member of the Citrus County Planning Commission. He was Protestant. Survivors include his wife, Elaine Sharp Crigger; a daughter, Darlene Elaine Crigger, Lecanto; his mother, Edna Crigger, Florida; two brothers, Arthur, West Virginia, and Bobby, Kentucky; and two sisters, Sue Allen, South Carolina, and Mary Lou Reed, Florida. DEHN, GRACE E., 84, of Sugarmill Woods, Homosassa, died Sunday (Sept. 17, 2000) at home. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she came here 13 years ago from Horsham, Pa. She was Lutheran. She was a member of the Crystal River Moose Lodge and the Ladies Do Gooders Club, Chassahowitzka. PARKER, JACQUELINE C., 54, of Inverness, died Sunday (Sept. 17, 2000) at home. She came here several years ago from her native Fort Wayne, Ind. RALL, PATRICIA ANNE, 68, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday (Sept. 19, 2000) at home. Born in St. Joseph, Mo., she came here seven years ago from Edgerton, Kan., and was a retired laboratory technician for Coopers Animal Health Care. She was Catholic. She was a member of the Elks Lodge 2582 and the American Legion Auxiliary Post 186, both in Brooksville. Survivors include three sons, Timothy, Tobias and Thomas, all of Kansas; a daughter, Kathleen Pettit, Godfrey, Ill.; two brothers, Larry Martin, Crystal River, and Denis Martin, St. Joseph; a sister, Nancy Waldren, Evart, Mich.; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. DOWELL, JAY CHARLES, 60, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday (Sept. 19, 2000) at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point. Born in Detroit, he came here 23 years ago from Hawaii and was retired from the Navy. He was Methodist and a member of the F&AM, Amorie, Japan, and the Naval Cryptology Veterans Association. RYAN, MARGUERITE A., 88, of Spring Hill, died Monday (Sept. 18, 2000) at Oak Hill Hospital, Spring Hill. She came here 27 years ago from her native Boston and was a retired office assistant. SURRENCY, HOWARD L., 72, of Plant City, died Saturday (Sept. 16, 2000) at home under the care of LifePath Hospice. Born in Nashville, Ga., he came here in 1929. He was a phosphate supervisor, member of Olin S. Wright, Masonic Lodge No. 79, F&AM, and Hopewell Baptist Church. BEUGNOT, WILLIAM J., 77, of New Port Richey, died Saturday (Sept. 16, 2000) at Community Hospital of New Port Richey. Born in Boyne City, Mich., he came here 42 years ago from Detroit. He retired from retail shoe sales management for Burdines Department Store, Port Richey, and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, New Port Richey, and an honorary life member of the Knights of Columbus 5869, Port Richey. There are no known survivors. She was a production worker in a citrus plant and Catholic. LESTER, W. GLENN, 87, of Dade City, died Monday (Sept. 18, 2000). Born in Wall Spring, he came here 57 years ago from Plant City. He was the owner/operator of L & L Supermarket, Dade City, and a retired U.S.D.A. inspector. He served on the Board of Commissioners, Dade City, for two years and as Dade City's mayor for five years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, serving on the board of stewards for many years, and a former member of the Dade City Kiwanis Club. Survivors include his wife, Hazel H.; two daughters, Glenda F. Lester, Tampa, and Elizabeth L. TETRAULT, EDMUND E., 87, of New Port Richey, died Monday (Sept. 18, 2000) at home. Born in Watervliet, N.Y., he came here 15 years ago from Clifton Park, N.Y., where he was the owner of Eddie's Trailer Sales. He was Catholic. THAYER, JACK N., 79, of New Port Richey, died Tuesday (Sept. 12, 2000) at Community Hospital of New Port Richey. He came here 25 years ago from his native Mentor, Ohio. He was past owner of the Hi-Skipper Marina, Eastlake, Ohio, and a musician. He was a Navy veteran serving on the USS Willis and member of its Reunion Group and past member of the Masons. - JARVIS, LEO, 82, of Clearwater, died Sunday (Sept. 17, 2000) at Glen Oaks Health Care Center, Clearwater. He was born in Putnam, Conn., and came here in 1996 from Larchmont, N.Y. He worked as a bartender and was Catholic. Survivors include two sisters, Blanche Hadoulis, Largo, and Theresa Wallich, Kingwood, Texas. Abbey Affordable Cremation and Funeral Service, Largo.
- LOWDEN, GORDON J. "BUD," 74, of Clearwater, died Saturday (Sept. 16, 2000) at the VA Medical Center at Bay Pines under the care of Hospice of the Florida Suncoast. He came here in 1952 from his native Chicago. He was a private investigator and owned and operated Lowden Detective Agency, Clearwater. He was a 4th Marine Division veteran of World War II and served on Saipan, Tinian and Iwo Jima. He was awarded a Silver Star and a Purple Heart and was disabled. He was an honorary Marine Corps recruiter, a past commandant of the Marine Corps League and a life member of the Florida Chapter of the 4th Marine Division. He was a member of Chapter 11 DAV, Clearwater, and St. Petersburg Yacht Club. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Norma L.; two daughters, Claudia Nahorodny, Clearwater, and Deborah McMillen, Delaware, Ohio; four grandchildren, Bill and Christy Nahorodny, Clearwater, Melanie Howell, Westerville, Ohio, and Chase McMillen, Centerburg, Ohio; and four great-grandchildren. - POOLE, WILLIAM H., "BUDDY," 69, of Chiefland, formerly of Clearwater, died Sunday (Sept. 17, 2000) at North Florida Regional Hospital, Gainesville. He was born in Suwanee County, lived in Clearwater for many years and moved to Chiefland in 1996 from Bushnell. He worked as a field supervisor for Gulf Machinery, Clearwater. He was Baptist. - WILCOX, MARGARET J., 79, of Treasure Island, died Wednesday (Sept. 13, 2000) while on a cruise. She was born in Niagara Falls, N.Y., and came here in 1950 from Haiti. After receiving her master's degree, she became an English professor at St. Petersburg Junior College in 1963 and obtained her doctorate from the University of Florida. She taught at the junior college for 20 years. She was past president of the Music Box Players and was a member of the Pilot Club of St. Petersburg and the Retired Teachers Association. She was a member of Unitarian Universalist Church and a member of the board. Survivors include a brother, Grant K. Johns, Niagara Falls. John S. Rhodes, East Chapel, St. Petersburg.
