Police hunt burglar
Authorities are searching for a man, shown in this surveillance video image, and a possible partner who on Tuesday broke into a gas station in Largo and stole a cash register, which contained about $200 in cash, police said. An alarm summoned police about 4:30 a.m. to the Amoco gas station at 751 Clearwater-Largo Road. Officers found the business' front door broken and the cash register removed. The video also shows a second man standing near the window. Anyone with information is asked to call Largo police at 587-6730.

Sheriff's employee resigns after charge
LARGO -- A Pinellas Sheriff's Office radio operator arrested Oct. 10 on a child sex abuse charge resigned Friday.
