Discount resolves blinds dispute
On Sept. 15, 1999, I ordered blinds for my home from Burdines at a total cost of $2,679.55. The blinds were improperly measured and therefore did not fit the windows. I called Burdines' customer service department on several occasions to have the problem fixed. Re-installers came to my house at least five times, but the problems persisted. I have been deferring payment, with Burdines' permission, since December. I have made countless phone calls and have even written a letter to the customer service department telling it I just want the blinds removed from my house. The frustration is not worth it. I have heard nothing back. All I want is for the blinds to be taken away. Sofia Menahem
