Arts&Entertainment: November 1, 2001 A good sermon at Williams' church
ST. PETERSBURG -- To Lucinda Williams' fans, her American roots music and lyrical musings on life's woes, delivered in her gravelly voice, come close to gospel. On Tuesday at Jannus Landing, the 48-year-old singer, who plays folk, country and bluesy rock, delivered a sermon to 1,022 enthusiastic fans who were as responsive as a congregation.
