ST. PETERSBURG -- T. Berry Brazelton has seen the scene play out too many times: An expectant mother visiting with the pediatrician breaks into tears when she talks about how soon she will have to return to work after her baby is born.
Police have suspect in string of burglaries
ST. PETERSBURG -- Thirty-seven times in six weeks, a burglar has used a primitive but effective technique to break into gas stations and other businesses in western and central St. Petersburg. The burglar typically throws a concrete block through a window, steals cigarette cartons and scratch-off lottery tickets, and smashes cash registers on the floor looking for money.
Plot to rob armored truck is a flop
ST. PETERSBURG -- At least two armed men tried to rob a Brinks armored truck Wednesday after couriers arrived at a downtown bank.
