To avoid gouging, check prices first
In May of this year, I had to have a test for cholesterol that my doctor ordered. I had recently moved to Florida, and I had no idea how outrageously expensive the fee was for this simple test at the hospital where I had it done. I was charged $848, and when I received the bill, I was shocked. My blood pressure has been high ever since.
