  • AMBROSIO, THOMAS ANTHONY, 48, of Inverness, died Thursday (Dec. 28, 2000) at home under the care of his family and Hospice. Born in Queens, N.Y., he came here 18 years ago from Massapequa, N.Y. He was a service technician for Bay Area Air Conditioning. He was Catholic. Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Lynn Sheehan Ambrosio; two sons, Thomas M., Oviedo, and Robert J., Inverness; and two sisters, Patricia Berardi and Lucy Ambrosio, both of North Ogden, Utah.   • STICKNEY, HENRY W. JR., 78, of Spring Hill, died Friday (Dec. 29, 2000) at Oak Hill Hospital, Spring Hill. Born in Malden, Mass., he came here seven years ago from Stoneham, Mass., and was a retired banker. He was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church, member and commander of the China Burma India Basher, Spring Hill, and an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; two stepsons, John Henry Weiderhold, Brownstown, Pa., and James Howard Weiderhold, Honey Brook, Pa.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Born in Bedford, Ohio, he came here 45 years ago from Cleveland and was a retired electrician. He was Catholic and member of the S.N.P.J. Lodge 778, Spring Hill, and the Coast Guard, Hernando Beach. He was a retired worker for the Civil Service Commission. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Pasadena Community Church.     • HEIDINGER, JOANNE E., 74, of Largo, died Thursday (Dec. 28, 2000) at Sun Coast Hospital, Largo. She was born in Belfast, N.Y., and came here in 1996 from Buffalo, N.Y. She worked for 15 years as a sales clerk at AM and A's department store. She was a Catholic and a member of Hoppers Women's Club, Buffalo. Survivors include a son, James, Largo.     • RALSTON, CARL C. JR., 73, of Largo, died Friday (Dec. 29, 2000) at home. He came here in 1954 from his native Owensboro, Ky. He was a retired vice president of Federal Construction. He was a retired Presbyterian minister. He was an Army veteran of World War II and Korea, serving in the U.S. Air Force. He was a charter member of Seminole Lakes Country Club and member of St. Petersburg Yacht Club. He was a Palm Harbor native and formerly owned and operated Adair Insurance Agency. He was a Methodist.     • WALTER, HENRY J., 79, of Palm Harbor, died Thursday (Dec. 28, 2000) at Mease Countryside Hospital, Safety Harbor. He was born in Vienna, Austria, moved to the United States in 1945 and came here in 1980 from Wilton, Conn. He was a retired vice president of research and development for Clairol Inc., where he was the principal author of 40 patents. Survivors include his wife, Margaret; two sons, Dr. Robert, Memphis, Tenn., and Dr. Thomas, Palm Harbor; a daughter, Claudia Andorsky, Columbia, Md., a brother Gerard Walter, Palo Alto, California; and six grandchildren. He was a retired Army staff sergeant, serving in the Vietnam War and earning a Bronze Star. He was a former automotive sales clerk for Montgomery Ward at Pinellas ParkSide Mall, retiring in 1994.     • CLARK, JEROME "CREEK MAN," 48, of St. Petersburg, died Thursday (Dec. 28, 2000) at St. Anthony's Hospital. A St. Petersburg native, he attended Gibbs High School. He was a lifeguard at Campbell Park Recreation and Wildwood Recreation centers. He was a member of Peaceful Zion Missionary Baptist Church.     • CURTISS, DOROTHY D., 88, of Minnetonka, Minn., formerly of St. Petersburg, died Saturday (Dec. 23, 2000) at North Memorial Hospital, Robbinsdale, Minn. Born in Spokane, Wash., she lived in Washington, D.C. for most of her life and retired in St. Petersburg before moving to Minnesota in 1997. She was a secretary for the American Red Cross. Survivors include a daughter, Georgene Hunt, Wayzata, Minn.; a son, Ralph E. Curtiss, Greenburr, Pa.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Cremation Society of Minnesota, Edina, Minn.
    • HARE, HELEN C., 86, of St. Petersburg, died Monday (Dec. 25, 2000) at Freedom Square, Seminole. Born in Bayonne, N.J., she came here in 1954 from the Panama Canal Zone. She was an investment representative on Wall Street and a board member for the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. She also was a member of All Children's Hospital and a lifetime member of Florida Sheriffs Boys Ranch and Girls Villa. She was a grand master of the U.S. Bridge Club. She was an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include three nieces, Pamela Frye, Carolee Thomason and Marion Chayes, all of New Jersey.     • SMITH, RUTH G., 85, of St. Petersburg, died Friday (Dec. 29, 2000) at Northside Hospital and Heart Institute. Born in Roscoe, Pa., she came here in 1975 from Clairton, Pa.     • TEHARTE, JOHNNIE MAE, 71, of St. Petersburg, died Thursday (Dec. 28, 2000) at Bayfront Medical Center. Born in Sylvester, Ga., she came here in 1952 from Ty Ty, Ga. She was a certified nurse's assistant and was Baptist.     • WRIGHT, SHEILA M., 42, of St. Petersburg, died Thursday (Dec. 28, 2000) at Vencor Hospital -- St. Petersburg. Born in Fort Myers, she came here in 1982 from Arcadia. She was Protestant and was a homemaker. Survivors include a daughter, Sabrina Wright, St. Petersburg; her father, Earl E. Wright Sr., and a brother, Earl E.     • WRIGHT, WILLIAM WADE, 42, of St. Petersburg, died Saturday (Dec. 30, 2000) at home under hospice care. Born in New Castle, Ind., he came here in 1985 from Anderson, Ind. He was a self-employed auto mechanic and a member of Church of the Brethren, St. Petersburg. He was an Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Cathy L.; two daughters, Regina Ann Wright and Crystal Tiger Wright, both of Pinellas Park; his mother, Janice Haynie, St. Petersburg; two brothers, Kenneth A. and Jeffery N., both of Anderson; and his maternal grandmother, Margaret A.     • HUNT, OLIVE E., 97, of Treasure Island, died Friday (Dec. 29, 2000) at Palm Gardens of Largo. Born in Sizerville, Pa., she came here in 1951 from Niagara Falls, N.Y. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Christ United Church and the Friendship Class. She was a member of Tahuti Court 44, the Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America, Elim Temple 76, Daughters of the Nile in Tampa, Bethlehem Chapter 169, OES in St. Petersburg, J. Edwin Larson Shrine 20 and the White Shrine of Jerusalem in Madeira Beach. She was past royal matron of the Order of Amaranth Pinellas Court 41. Survivors include a daughter, Jean Marie Wolfe, Treasure Island; two grandchildren, William A. Wolfe, Sisters, Ore., and Deborah A.
