Campus calendarBy SUZANNE SCRUGGS © St. Petersburg Times, published January 5, 2001 CLASSES: USF's Division of Lifelong Learning will offer various test preparation courses starting Monday. This spring, USF will offer sections of SAT Verbal Skills Review and SAT Math Skills Review. The courses are $120 each. USF will offer a section of TOEFL to help non-native speakers of English to take the Test of English as Foreign Language in order to be admitted to their undergraduate and graduate programs. The course is $170. USF is offering several sections of the GRE in the spring term. Most graduate schools require students to take the Graduate Record Exam in order to be admitted to their programs. The courses are $207 each. Many graduate programs in business require applicants to take the GMAT- Graduate Management Admission Test. USF offers several sections of the GMAT in the spring term. The courses are $207 each. In the spring, USF will offer two sections of LSAT Skills Review. The course helps prospective law students improve their proficiency in reading, logic, and analysis skills required by the Law School Admissions Test. Each course costs $250. Call (813) 974-5201. ART: HCC's Ybor Campus Art Gallery presents the exhibition "Tropical Landscapes" by John David Hawver from Monday through Feb. 4. The opening reception with the artist will be Thursday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Hawver is a Florida Keys artist whose paintings are inspired by the natural environment. His work is included in many public and corporate collections and shown extensively in museums and galleries throughout the South. The event is free and open to the public.
