Yearly Kumquat events start Jan. 26By ANGELA MILLER © St. Petersburg Times, published January 7, 2001 The fourth annual Kumquat Festival will be Jan. 26-27 in downtown Dade City. Contests in the festival include: the best dapper diaper design, best gardening attire with wagon or cart for children ages 3 to 6, and girls ages 7 to 18 can compete in the Miss Kumquat pageant. These contests will be held at 10 a.m. Jan. 20 in the Dan Cannon Auditorium at the Pasco County Fairgrounds. Deadline to enter is Saturday. Applications can be picked up at the Dade City and Zephyrhills Chambers of Commerce, or the Pasco County Fair office.
