Best bet
WHO: Dunnellon at Citrus.
WHAT: Boys basketball.
WHEN: Friday, 7 p.m.
WHY: Dunnellon has the area's top offensive player in 6-foot-4 senior guard Stanley Jackson. Citrus has the only defense that has been able to hold Jackson in check. In a preseason win against the Tigers, Citrus held Jackson, a career 2,000-point scorer, to 13. A few weeks later, he scored 14 points against the Hurricanes, but Dunnellon managed to win 76-56. Citrus has greatly improved since its last meeting with the Tigers, thanks largely to the play of junior guard Chris Vihrachoff. He had 35 points in a game two weeks ago and 24 in a loss to Belleview last week. Dunnellon and Citrus are quick, athletic and well-coached.
