SunTrust Bank has reopened its Gateway branch at 8299 Dr. M.L. King (Ninth) St. N, St. Petersburg. Since April, customers had been detoured to a temporary location. More than $1-million in renovations have been completed on the 6,000-square-foot branch, a fixture at the Gateway Shopping Center for 30 years.
Andrew C. Orr, a certified financial planner, has opened a business planning practice at 100 Second Ave. S, Suite 300, North Tower, St. Petersburg. Orr, who operated a similar practice in Orlando, is past chairman of the board for Community Coordinated Care for Children in Central Florida.
Bessolo Design Group Inc., 556 Central Ave., St. Petersburg, has been commissioned to do design and architectural work on the following properties: La Contessa, a 55-unit condominium on Redington Beach; Seascape Townhouses, a five-unit building on Indian Shores; Bella Playa, a 10-unit building of town houses on Indian Shores; and Island Sands, a nine-unit condominium on Indian Rocks Beach.
Family Resources Inc. of St. Petersburg, a non-profit agency that helps troubled children and their families, will hold a career exposition for high school students, "Teens Exploring Career Options," 9 a.m.-noon Friday at the University of South Florida Activities Center, 140 Seventh Ave. S.
