NOTES: The Seminoles, looking for their first Atlantic Coast Conference victory, face a tall order against one of the most talented teams in the nation, let alone the league. The Terrapins had won 10 straight before an 86-83 loss against visiting North Carolina on Wednesday. ... The key for the Seminoles beating, or even challenging, Maryland will be their defense. They have to stop the penetration of Blake, the ACC's best pure playmaker, and not let Maryland score too often in transition. Maryland averages 11.1 steals and 7.0 blocks, which helps explain why it averages 92.4 points. That's more than FSU has scored in any game this season. ... The Terrapins lead the series 16-5, including a nine-game winning streak.
