The nationally syndicated Fabulous Sports Babe radio show will no longer air on WQYK-AM 1010 or any other station in the country.
The Sports Fan Radio Network, which employed the Sports Babe (Tierra Verde resident Nanci Donnellan), terminated its agreement with her Friday.
The show was broadcast from WQYK-AM's studio in Tampa and aired on the station from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. No word yet on what will replace the show, but it will probably be a local program, according to station management. "The Sports Fan Network made a decision in its best interest, and we are left to figure out what we're going to do about filling the slot," said Eric Logan, operations manager of WQYK. "We were happy with what the Babe brought us, and we enjoyed having her at the station."
