Friday night is teen night at YMCA

The East Pasco Family YMCA, 37301 Chapel Hill Loop in Zephyrhills, is hosting a teen night from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday. Teens can swim, play basketball or racquetball, swim, dance and use the computers. The cost is $5. For information, call (813) 780-9622.

Volunteers needed for anti-violence event

A Youth Against Violence Jamboree will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Pasco County School District offices in Land O'Lakes. Workshops will include: preparation of a script for a public service announcement, development of a brochure and billboard, development of a 30-minute skit related to reducing violence, to be used by student actors around the country. Volunteers are needed who are experienced with writing, scripting, production and graphics. To volunteer or for information about the jamboree, call (800) 848-5542.

Appraisers for quilts, antiques to be at show

The Pioneer Florida Museum 11th annual quilt and antique show/sale will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. A new addition this year will be a certified appraiser for quilts and one for antiques. Written appraisals will be given for a fee of $30 each and verbal appraisals for $5 each. Admission is $6 per person. The museum is located one mile north of Dade City on Pioneer Museum Road. For information, call (352) 567-0262.

Club to host walks for Kumquat Festival

As part of the Kumquat Festival on Saturday, the Suncoast Sandpipers Volkssport Club will host noncompetitive 5K and 10K walks downtown Dade City. Start times are from 8 a.m. to noon, finishing by 3 p.m. For information, call Alice at (727) 595-2173 or e-mail the club at pipers@tampabay.rr.com.
