REDINGTON SHORES -- A body washed ashore here Saturday, and authorities are trying to determine who it was.

The body may have been in the water more than a week. It was a white man with no identification, according to the Indian Shores Police Department, which patrols Redington Shores.

The body was found about 5:20 p.m. on Redington Shores beach near 18200 Gulf Blvd. It was taken to the Pinellas Medical Examiner's Office, where an autopsy will be performed.
