One man is believed to have more Giants season tickets than any other, and that man is none other than Ravens owner Art Modell.
Modell grew up in Brooklyn, and became enchanted with football following the old Brooklyn Dodgers as a 9-year-old. He changed his allegiance to the Giants after the Dodgers folded up, and bought his first Giants season tickets after getting out of the Air Corps in 1945.
"I bought four season tickets in the Polo Grounds, and I was sitting next to Dick Nolan's mother," Modell said. "He was playing for the Giants then. When they moved to Yankee Stadium, I kept buying tickets and buying tickets."
Modell now holds 67 season tickets.
"I bought some before I moved to Cleveland, and bought some after I moved to Cleveland for families, friends, creditors," Modell joked. "It's been a great experience."
Asked if he qualified to get tickets to this year's Super Bowl as a Giants fan, Modell said, "I lost out on the raffle."
