The Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel will hold its annual conference on Monday at the Holiday Inn at Interstate 75 and State Road 40 (Exit 69) in Ocala.

Officers and staffers will talk about the condition of the Michigan group, the National Retired Teachers Association, pending Legislation and other necessary business matters. Representatives of Group 59000 will discuss and answer questions about medical benefits and providers. Registration is at 8:30 a.m. and the meeting will begin at 9. Coffee, tea, doughnuts and pastries will be provided. There will be an open forum and evaluation at 2:40 p.m., with adjournment at 3 p.m.

If you are interested in staying overnight at the Holiday Inn, call Ray Van De Mark at (517) 337-1757 or fax to (517) 337-8560. If there is enough interest, a block of rooms may be set aside at a considerable cost reduction.

There is a choice of three lunch entrees: vegetarian plate, chicken breast supreme with rice, and roast beef au jus with roasted potatoes. The meal includes a salad, vegetable, dessert and beverage for $14. That includes sales tax and tip.

For information about the conference, MARSP or membership, call Shirley Shaw at (352) 347-3714 or Lee Wittmer at (352) 861-2479.
