DEFENSIVE END MICHAEL STRAHAN ON WHY THE GIANTS HAVE BEEN VERY BUSINESSLIKE THIS WEEK: "I like boring. When we got boring, we started to win. ... Coach (Jim) Fassel told us a long time ago to have less talk and more action. That's what we plan to do."

WIDE RECEIVER AMANI TOOMER ON HIS PERFORMANCE THIS SEASON: "I just stopped worrying about being the guy who was mad on the sidelines. I'm just going to go in there and make the plays."

CORNERBACK DAVE THOMAS ON THE IMPROVED IMAGE OF THE GIANTS' SECONDARY: "You know what it comes down to? You're only judged by your last stand. Obviously, we showed a good stand the last time we played, or even the game before. You're judged by the reputation that you display. Obviously, the respect is there on our part, too, because they have a solid offensive group and they have an outstanding defense."

THOMAS ON WHAT HAS CHANGED FOR THE GIANTS' SECONDARY SINCE THE LOSS TO ST. LOUIS IN NOVEMBER: "We're a lot hungrier and we're a little bit more aggressive. I thought, and everyone said, that we needed to challenge the receivers. Defensive coordinator John Fox said, 'Look, I'll pick our guys over their guys any day,' as far as the Rams were concerned. That put a lot of confidence in us, saying we could get the job done. We just needed to be more aggressive and we probably needed that (game) for us to wake up."

COACH JIM FASSEL ON TIGHT END SHANNON SHARPE: "He's the smartest player outside of the quarterback position that I've ever been around. He knew the game plan and could talk about it. He was on top of everything. He had the personality that I love. He was never down."

RUNNING BACK TIKI BARBER ON WHETHER THE GIANTS HAVE A BETTER OFFENSE THAN THEY ARE BEING CREDITED WITH HAVING: "We absolutely do. It's weird when you sit back and you listen to everyone say that our offense is no good. We had a 1,000-yard rusher, a 1,000-yard receiver and a quarterback who threw for more than 3,600 yards. We ranked sixth in total offense in the NFL. How are we a bad offense? You look at that and wonder what you guys (the media) are looking at. We know what we can do."
