    Spotted Friday night at the NFL Players Party at the Cuban Club in Ybor City: Vikings quarterback Daunte Culpepper posed for pictures. Rams quarterback Kurt Warner played pool. During a player fashion show, ESPN's Stuart Scott offered a bit of advice to newly engaged Dolphins defensive end Jason Taylor: "Stay out of Mons Venus."

    Singer K.D. Lang's band got lost Saturday night on the way to Ceviche in South Tampa. They had to stop and ask directions.

    The Maxim party Friday night at the A La Carte Pavilion on Dana Shore Drive had limos coming in until well past midnight. Up the red carpet past fans strode former MTV veejay Daisy Fuentes in leopard print, Carson Daly, host of MTV's Total Request Live, former NFL running back Marcus Allen, former Baywatch star Gena Lee Nolin, actor Rob Schneider, talk show host Star Jones, actor Tom Arnold, Falcons running back Jamal Anderson, singers Patti LaBelle and Brian McKnight, White Sox pitcher David Wells, rapper Nelly, NBA great Magic Johnson, actor Jerry O'Connell and singer Taylor Dayne.

    Country singer LeAnn Rimes dropped by Redwoods in St. Petersburg for lunch Saturday.

    Unlikely companions: CBS news anchor Dan Rather, actor Tom Arnold and former Jets quarterback Joe Namath at Ricky Martin's concert at MacDill Air Force Base Saturday night. Arnold said it was his dream to attend a Ricky Martin concert with Rather. Welcome to New York's Christine Baranski, attended the concert, too, trembling in the cold weather. Also there were magician David Copperfield, Family Law's Kathleen Quinlan, Peter Boyle and Doris Roberts parents from Everybody Loves Raymond, and Brad Garrett who plays the brother.

    Yankees pitcher Dwight Gooden and Steelers Hall of Famer Franco Harris rode on floats in the Gasparilla parade down Bayshore Boulevard. Gooden tossed toy baseballs from the Yankees float and Harris threw toy footballs from the NFL float.

    Hall of Fame hockey star Wayne Gretsky and former NFL head coach Jerry Glanville ate dinner at the Grill at Feather Sound on Friday.

    Entertainer Patti LaBelle, singer Natalie Cole, Miss America Angela Perez Baraquio and Olympic gold medalist Marion Jones appeared at the annual HollyRod Foundation luncheon at the A La Carte Pavilion in Tampa on Saturday. The charity benefits the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center. Also there were MTV's Amanda Lewis, former MTV personality Daisy Fuentes, the Eagles' Troy Vincent, Saints quarterback Aaron Brooks, California Angel Jose Canseco, the Dodgers' Gary Sheffield and event sponsors actor Holly Robinson Peete and her husband, Rodney Peete, a Raiders quarterback.
