The Giants moved the ball 5 yards -- on an encroachment penalty by Ravens defensive tackle Sam Adams on first down -- before quarterback Kerry Collins threw two incompletions and Tiki Barber was stopped for no gain. After a 37-yard Brad Maynard punt, the Ravens got a 4-yard pass from Trent Dilfer to Priest Holmes, then two incompletions and punted. BEST SCORING OPPORTUNITY: On third and 5 from the Giants 46, Ravens wide receiver Patrick Johnson raced past cornerback Jason Sehorn, but Dilfer just overthrew him despite his lunging attempt at the goal line. AND AGAIN: With 37 seconds left until halftime, Sehorn slipped after a Johnson juke, but Dilfer heaved the ball out of bounds. BEST QUARTER: Marvin Lewis, Ravens defensive coordinator: The Ravens menaced Collins, nearly dropping him in the end zone for a safety and nearly intercepting three passes. New York finished the quarter with 27 yards. WORST QUARTER: Sehorn. Not only should he have been burned for two touchdowns by Johnson, but he was scorched for a touchdown by no-name Brandon Stokley with 6:57 left. The longest catch in Stokley's two-year career gave Baltimore a 7-0 lead. BEST LINE: Phil Simms: "If you ask me, the Ravens are trying to pick on Jason Sehorn."
