I am the one who has the train of thought. I am the one who is hard at work. I am the one who keeps the cross around my neck.
— LARRY WOODS, 12th grade

January Xpressions celebrates contributors depicting themselves in poetry and artwork. The prompt for this month's creativity was "I am the one who . . ."

In the poems, drawings and paintings published today you will find a wide assortment of interesting characters, portrayed with introspection, sensitivity and humor.

We hope you enjoy the work. Maybe it will inspire you to complete the sentence "I am the one who . . ." about yourself!
