Focus on volunteers

The St. Petersburg Branch of the American Red Cross needs volunteer drivers to transport elderly residents to and from their medical appointments in Red Cross vehicles. Volunteers work one day per week, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. For information, call Hub Denison at 898-3111.

The Hospice of the Florida Suncoast will offer a volunteer orientation class for people interested in learning more on opportunities with the organization from 9 a.m. to noon Feb. 17 at its south community service center, 5639 49th St. N, St. Petersburg. For information, call Kathy Roble at 586-4432.

The St. Petersburg Free Clinic, 863 Third Ave. N, will be holding volunteer orientations from 10 a.m. to noon Feb. 7 and from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Feb. 24. For information, call Dawna Sarmiento at 821-1200, ext. 118.
