AMINAH BILAL, Hillsborough, Sr.: Bilal is quite possibly the fastest girl in the state. She returns after a junior year in which she finished fourth in the state in the 100 and sixth in the 200. Bilal again is expected to challenge for those titles.
CARMEN CRESPO, Wharton, Sr.: Crespo is one of the top high jumpers in the state and a favorite for a title. She won the region meet last year with a jump of 5 feet, 4 inches and followed that with a fourth-place finish at the state meet.
DARA ALTMAN, Gaither, Jr.: Joined Crespo on the preseason athletes to watch list of Coachnet.net. Altman finished second in the pole vault at the state meet last year with a career best vault of 11 feet.
TAMEKA RICHARDSON, Blake, Sr.: Richardson has been one of the most overlooked runners -- cross country and track -- in the area since her sophomore season. Already a veteran of the state cross country meet, Richardson made her state track debut last year, finishing eighth in the 400 meters in 59.96.
LINDSEY MOFFENBIER, East Bay, Jr.: Moffenbier recorded the highest county finish in the 3,200 last season, coming in third at state. As always, she will be tested by Riverview's Dee Dee Haefling and Bloomingdale's Amber Littleton, but Moffenbier has earned the title of favorite heading into this season.
