Investigators seek 2 men they say had sex with teenBy AMY HERDY © St. Petersburg Times, published February 3, 2001 TAMPA -- Investigators are searching for a Tampa attorney and a paralegal accused of having sex with a 13-year-old runaway. Officials said Shawn Robert Martin, 24, of 6627 Marina Point Village Court, kept the teenage girl at his Town 'N Country apartment from Dec. 24 through Jan. 23, having sex with her and taking pornographic pictures used to advertise her for prostitution on a Web site. Martin's boss, 58-year-old David Russell Stahl of 10203 Tarpon Springs Road in Odessa, paid to have sex with the girl at Martin's apartment, which Stahl leases, said sheriff's Col. David Gee. The girl has been reunited with her guardians, Gee said, and is cooperating with authorities. Gee said the search will be profiled tonight on the television show America's Most Wanted. An anonymous tip led deputies to the girl at Martin's apartment, and investigators issued arrest warrants for Martin and Stahl, Gee said. He said a third man, Adonius Bailey, 23, of 12310 Ajay Court, also had sex with the girl and made arrangements with another man to have sex with her for $500. Wednesday, deputies charged Bailey with procuring a person under 18 for prostitution and with sexual battery. Bailey has an extensive arrest record on drug and theft charges and is being held without bail. Gee said warrants have been issued for Stahl on charges of committing a lewd and lascivious act with a child under 16. Martin, who has an arrest history in Pinellas County on drug charges, is wanted by Hillsborough County deputies on 24 counts of possession of child pornography, procuring a person for prostitution, promoting child pornography, production of child pornography, and four counts of lewd and lascivious acts upon a child, as well as contributing to the delinquency of a minor. "Everyone involved in this knew the child was a minor," Gee said. All the men charged were acquaintances, he said, and met the girl through rave parties. Records show Stahl, who is married with grown children, is in good standing with the Florida Bar Association, with one disciplinary action on his record for continuing a case without permission from his client. -- Times staff writer David Karp and researcher John Martin contributed to this report.
