Voters who want to vote by absentee ballot may come to the elections office at 120 N Apopka Ave., Inverness. The office is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. To have an absentee ballot mailed to you, call (352) 341-6740. The annual Lincoln Day dinner will be Feb. 15 at Andre's of Citrus Hills. Cocktails will be served at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 7. Education Commissioner Charlie Crist is scheduled to be the guest speaker. Florida House Speaker Tom Feeney and state Rep. Nancy Argenziano are expected to attend.
