Wedding, Stephenson & Ibarguen Architects Inc. of St. Petersburg has been commissioned by Catholic Charities Inc. to renovate a two-story office building at 1213 16th St. N. The agency will move its administrative offices to the 18,000-square-foot building as well as offer counseling and client services there.
Joe Pugliano, owner of Mail Boxes Etc. in downtown St. Petersburg, has been named the 2001 president for the Beach Drive and Downtown Business Association. Along with Pugliano, the association elected these officers: Grace Ariss, branch manager for Republic Bank; Marilyn Armstrong, publisher of New St. Pete News; and Richard Chardor, jewelry designer for Earth's Treasures Fine Jewelers.
Terrence "Terry" Brett has been named chairman-elect of the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Governors. Brett owns Brett Funeral Home in St. Petersburg.
Alison E. Schorger has been elected to the board of directors of the Guardian Association of Pinellas County. Schorger is a partner at the law firm of James Van Middlesworth in St. Petersburg.
