The Country Club, formerly known as the Carrollwood Village Golf and Tennis Club, is at 13903 Clubhouse Drive, off N Village Drive. A luncheon meeting will follow at 11:45 a.m. and will include a program on "HATS, HATS, HATS." Decorate your own hat to model. Prizes will be awarded. Guests of members are invited. Articles, photos sought for history bookThe Keystone Odessa Citrus Park Historical Society is seeking articles and photos for its new history book to be released on July 4. The second edition of the History of Keystone Odessa Citrus Park will contain the original book plus a new section. Class pictures of Citrus Park Elementary School are needed as well as pictures of activities at Keystone Park. The cost to reserve a copy is $20. The next meeting will be at 7 p.m. Monday in the Arts and Crafts room at Keystone Park, 17925 Gunn Highway. Membership dues are now due, which offset the cost of the book. Membership dues are $10 for family and $5 for individual. Garden club to meet WednesdayThe North Tampa Garden Club will host its next monthly meeting at 10 a.m. Wednesday. The meeting will be at the Seminole Garden Center, 5800 N Central Ave.; parking is available on Clifton Street. A video of "Gardening With Summer Perennials" will be presented followed by a covered-dish luncheon. Members are reminded to bring a guest and cuttings, which will be shared. D.J. will offer a "Group Past Life Regression" from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Harmony's, 2517 W Henry Ave. Attendees will be guided through meditation as they call on past spirits. Garden center offers flower arranging classesThe Tampa Federation of Garden Club Circles is offering a series of flower arranging classes from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 27, March 13 and March 27. Classes will be at The Tampa Garden Center, 2629 Bayshore Blvd. Bring flowers and containers and a bag lunch and beverage. AIDS Network holds volunteer orientationThe Tampa AIDS Network will hold its next monthly volunteer orientation, from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday. Orientations are held on the second Tuesday each month to provide information about HIV/AIDS and volunteer opportunities with TAN. Reservations are requested. Orientation also includes AIDS 101, a session on the basics of HIV/AIDs. Volunteers are needed in the following area: speakers bureau, food pantry, outreach, testing program, events, board committees and office support. Volunteer orientations are held at TAN's North Tampa office, 7402 N 56th St., Corporate Square Building 100. TAN is a non-profit organization that provides prevention education, emotional and physical support services, and advocacy on behalf of all people affected by HIV. For information or to register, call (813) 914-8888. Traffic calming topic of meetingHillsborough County staff will hold a public meeting to discuss traffic calming along Mercer Loop. The meeting will be in the cafeteria at Trapnell Elementary School, 1605 W Trapnell Road in Plant City, at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Based on this meeting, a recommendation will be given to county commissioners. All interested residents are encouraged to attend.
