The Mutiny has three exhibitions in the next five days, including one against the under-18 national team at 11 this morning at the Soccer Academy in Bradenton.
It will play the Miami Fusion at 4 p.m. Saturday at Gateway Community Park in Fort Myers and the University of South Florida at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the USF Soccer Stadium. Forward Mamadou Diallo will not play Tuesday. He will be at the ESPY Awards in New York as a candidate for soccer player of the year.
The team also announced it will play two exhibitions in Colombia. Tampa Bay will play Millonarios of the First Division on Feb. 22 and Soacha FC of the Second Division on Feb. 24.
BANKOV WAIVED: Defender Kalin Bankov was waived to reduce the number of senior international players to the MLS limit of three. The Bulgarian, 35, has been approved for his green card and could be reclaimed when he gets it. He will still train with the team.
MEETINGS OFF: General manager Bill Manning hoped to meet with an investment group from Orlando last weekend in Miami during the MLS draft, but those meetings were delayed. Manning said he did not know whether he would meet with the group again.
