Seven Rivers Community Hospital has announced the appointment of three doctors to its medical staff.

Dr. Servillano Dela Cruz Jr. specializes in hematology/oncology. His medical degree is from the Far Eastern University in Manila, Philippines, and New York Medical College in Valhalla, N.Y. Dr. Dela Cruz performed his internal medicine residency at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport, Conn., and completed a fellowship at New York University's Lenox Hill Hospital.

Dr. William R. Gelinas specializes in general/thoracic/vascular Surgery. His medical degree is from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, Maine. Dr. Gelinas completed his general surgery residency at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. He went on to complete a fellowship at the Bi-County Community Hospital in Warren, Mich.

Dr. Ravi Kondapalli specializes in gastroenterology. His medical degree is from Kakatiya Medical College in India. Dr. Kondapalli completed his internal medicine residency at Jacobi Medical Center/Albert Einstein Medical School in Bronx, New York City. He subsequently completed additional fellowships in endoscopic ultrasound at the University of Indiana in Indianapolis, and gastrointestinal motility at the University of Iowa Medical School in Iowa City.

Homosassa Hungry Howie's plans a grand re-opening after being remodeled. The restaurant at 3938 S Suncoast Blvd., next to Publix, plans to celebrate Saturday, from noon until 3 p.m. Pizza and soft drinks will be available for 25 cents with all proceeds donated to Homosassa Elementary School.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central Florida meets on the second Thursday of each month in the Cypress Room in the administration building of Citrus Memorial Hospital. The foundation grants wishes to children ages 21/2 to 18 who have been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. For information, call 621-5437.
