Valentine's eventBy Times staff writer © St. Petersburg Times, published February 12, 2001 Here is a list of local Valentine's Day events: The Polish American Social Club will host a dinner-dance at 12:30 p.m., Wednesday at 7615 New Jersey Ave., Hudson. Dinner choices are roast pork or chicken. Doors open at 12:30, dinner served from 1 to 2:30 p.m., dancing from 3:15 to 6 p.m. to the music of the Music Blenders. All tickets are $10. For reservations call Phyllis, 688-6385, or the Club, (727) 868-9763. AMVETS Post 28 will have its first Valentine's Dinner Dance on Friday at Bouma Hall, 1202 Kenlake Ave., Spring Hill. A buffet dinner will be served from 4 to 6 p.m. and country western music is planned from 6 to 10 p.m. featuring Country Rhythm Boys & Carol. The dinner menu consists of turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls, iced tea; or ham, sweet potatoes, corn, dessert and coffee. The public is invited, and tickets are $12 in advance, $15 at the door. All proceeds go toward the purchase of the new post.
