Arts workshop for children planned
A workshop for children ages 4, 5 and 6 will be offered from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. today at the Center Place, 619 Vonderburg Drive, and will be held again at the same time on Feb. 26. The cost is $8 for members and $13 nonmembers. The class is filled with arts and crafts, and supplies are included. For information, call (813) 685-8888.
Discuss Bebe Moore Campbell book

Neighborhood cleanup scheduled
The Neighborhood Environmental Action Team cleanup needs volunteers for the Bayshore area and is scheduled for 8 a.m. Saturday at the Himes Avenue Sports Complex, 4501 S Himes Ave. The boundaries are El Prado Boulevard to the north, Gandy Boulevard to the south, Bayshore Boulevard to the east and Dale Mabry Highway to the west. Federation of Families to meet
The Federation of Families will have a meeting from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday at the Children's Board of Hillsborough County, 1205 E Eighth Ave. The Federation of Families membership is comprised of parents whose children experience emotional, behavioral and mental disorders, as well as child advocates. Cassandra James exhibit to open
Overview, an exhibit of recent work by Cassandra James, will open from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Clayton Galleries, 4105 S MacDill Ave. The show will run through March 17. The exhibit will feature a number of new oil paintings, works on paper and monoprints. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Romance, intimacy lecture series
The Foundation of Intimacy, a medical practice dedicated solely to promoting healthy human sexuality, will host a free lecture series today: from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., "Post-partum Sexual Desire"; from 6 to 7 p.m., "Overcoming Sex Drive Differences between Partners"; and from 8 to 9 p.m., "Male Impotence: Failure to Fantasy."
