ADMISSION: Most schools charge $3 for regular-season games, $4 for district tournament games and $5 for regional play. State finals are $6.

REGULAR SEASON: The regular season began Monday and ends April 24. Schools may play no more than 28 games, excluding preseason classics and the state playoffs.

DISTRICT FAVORITES: 6A-7 -- Gaither; 5A-8 -- Lakeland George Jenkins; 5A-11 -- Plant; 5A-12 -- Sarasota; 4A-10 -- Armwood; 4A-12 -- Bradenton Bayshore; 3A-9 -- Jesuit; 2A-11 -- Berkeley Prep; A-9 -- Seminole Presbyterian.

KEY DATES: The Tony Saladino Tournament is March 19-24. District tournaments begin April 23. The regional tournament starts May 1. The state finals begin May 14.

PLAYOFFS: District winners (16 teams) and runners-up (16) advance to the regional playoffs in six classifications ranging from 6A to A.
