Walk for Parkinson's disease is Feb. 28

A benefit walk for the Parkinson's Disease Coalition/University of South Florida Foundation will begin at noon Feb. 28. The start for the 2-mile walk will be the parking lot at 740 Carillon Parkway, St. Petersburg. For information, call 573-4701 or 573-4725.
America's Youngest Jazz Band is looking for kids
Sonny LaRosa and America's Youngest Jazz Band seeks child musicians under the age of 13 to play saxophone, trombone, trumpet, guitar, bass or piano, or sing. Beginners will be considered. For information, call 725-1788.
Recycled cans, newspaper benefit program
St. Paul United Methodist Church offers a newspaper and aluminum can recycling depot at the church's Christian Life Enrichment Center, 1199 Highland Ave., Largo. The bins will be located on the northeast corner of the Rosery Road and Highland Avenue intersection. Proceeds from recycled materials will benefit Handicapable Ministry, a non-profit outreach program for developmentally disabled persons. For information, call 584-8165.
