Soaps and the like get their own shop

Jaci Johnson has opened Jacqueline's Salon & Day Spa at 279 Treasure Island Causeway. The spa offers hair care, manicures, pedicures, massage and skin care. Hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

First Community Bank appoints VP of lending

Vicki A. Spears has joined First Community Bank of America in St. Petersburg as senior vice president of lending. Before the appointment, Spears was with SouthTrust Bank as senior vice president of the private banking division.

Ed Seifried Construction names project managers

David McElyea, former superintendent for U.S. Design and Construction Management, and Robert McHenry, former operations manager for Unique Building Concepts, have been named project managers for Ed Seifried Construction of St. Petersburg.
