HERNANDO VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR: Hernando Elementary School announces the selection of Jean Terrano as its 2000-2001 Volunteer of the Year. She has helped the school by participating on the following committees: Enhancement Council, PTA Board, RIF Giveaway, PTA Carnival Committee and committee chairwoman for PTA fundraiser. Terrano volunteers to help teachers and substitutes as well.

NEW TESTAMENT CHRISTIAN SCHOOL STUDENTS OF THE MONTH: New Testament Christian School of Floral City announces its Students of the Month for February: Bethany Hodges and Britany Messenger. These students were selected by the faculty for displaying thoughtfulness, cooperation, helpfulness, diligence, spiritual sensitivity and school spirit. Monthly winners are recognized in a chapel service and presented with certificates and cash awards. Bethany is in kindergarten and is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ledford Hodges of Inverness. Britany is in sixth grade and is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Messenger of Bushnell.
